Oslo
Arrive at Oslo airport and pick up your hire car from the airport, then drive to your hotel.

DAY 2: OSLO - GEILO
Go along Lake Tyrifjord, a site of many legends, then on through the Bengnadalen Valley to Fagernes where you can visit the Fagernes open-air folk museum.
Arrive in Geilo, an alpine village halfway between Oslo and Bergen, which is known for its good snow conditions in winter and hiking and fishing in summer.

Bergen
Cross the high desert plateau of the pristine Hardangervidda National Park, and drive through the Mabodalen Valley to the Voringfossen waterfall, one of the highest in Norway.
Reach the shores of the flower-filled Hardangerfjord and cross the bridge between Brimnes and Bruravik before arriving in Bergen for a free tour.

DAY 4: BERGEN - FLÅM - BEISTOLTEN
Be sure to visit Bergen's fish market whilst you are here then make your way to Flåm where you can take the famous Flåm panorama train (not included) through spectacular cliffs, canyons and tunnels.
You can also go for a cruise on Norway's largest fjord - Sognefjord - to the charming village of Gudvangen.

Alesund
Continue along a panoramic route which passes through Lom and Grotli, before arriving in Geiranger.
Embark on a mini-cruise of around 1 hour on the Geirangerfjord which features numerous waterfalls, the most famous of which are the "bride's veil" and the Seven Sisters.

DAY 6: ÅLESUND - TROLLS ROAD - GUDSBRAND VALLEY
Enjoy some free time to discover the charming town of Ålesund which was rebuilt in an Art Nouveau style in the 1900s.
Take the famous Troll Road which is renowned for its impressive hairpin bends and splendid panoramic views.

Please note: The Troll Road may still be closed due to snow in May. Check the weather forecast beforehand and, depending on the weather, it may be possible to walk to the foot of the road.
Return to Oslo
Once in Oslo, admire the Royal Palace, the Opera House on the seafront and the medieval fortress of Akershus. Walk past the Town Hall, where the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded every year.
Just outside the city centre, Vigeland Park is the largest sculpture park in the world created by a single artist, and features more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron.
You can also go to the Bygdoy peninsula and visit the various museums, including the FRAM museum, which houses the ship of the same name that was used on the Arctic and Antarctic expeditions of the famous explorer Roald Admunsen.

DAY 8: OSLO - RETURN FLIGHT

Depart for the north, where you will have the opportunity to take the legendary "Atlantic Route", passing from island to island by bridges and dykes.
Pass through Kristiansund, a town built on the cod fishing industry, and learn more about it at the Klippfisk Museum

Trondheim's old quarter is made up of interesting museums and inviting cafés.

Head out on the famous E6 towards Oppdal. Continue through the Driva valley and across the landscapes of the Dovrefjell National Park.

Choose this 1-hour mini-cruise on the Geirangerfjord. Undoubtedly the wildest of all the fjords, it is overlooked by mountains over 1,700 metres high and features numerous waterfalls, the most famous of which are the "bride's veil" and the 7 sisters.
