8 Night Itinerary
Day 01: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU (attention arrival from 7am - any earlier arrival will result in an extra night in Kathmandu)
Once you arrive at the airport you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel by your driver. Enjoy a free morning and complimentary lunch at your hotel before setting off to visit Swayambunath (UNESCO)- the oldest place of worship in the valley. After here, you will travel to the old town of Kathmandu: Hanuman Dhoka's Durbar Square (UNESCO), the Royal Sanctuary of Teleju, the Kumari house and the colourful bazaar of Thamel, the high point of the hippie era.

Day 02: KATHMANDU  
After breakfast, head on a walk around the Shivaite temple of Pashupatinath (UNESCO), the small Benares of Nepal, before joining the Tibetan district of Bodnath (UNESCO) and its large white stupa of the 14th century topped with flags of prayer, the high place of Buddhist pilgrimage.
Later, you will head to Bhaktapur (UNESCO), an old medieval town with cobbled streets, which houses elaborate palaces of typically Newar style, venerated temples and a crowd of craftsmen's shops... A real open-air museum.

DAY 03: KATHMANDU - DHULIKHEL (27 Km / 30 Minutes)
Enjoy breakfast before heading off on a morning discovery of Patan (UNESCO), an ancient royal city remarkably preserved, where reigns an atmosphere out of time at the foot of its high pagodas of carved wood and red bricks.
It's about five miles southwest of Kathmandu on the top of a hill. It is an ancient town of Newar village and people are farmers and live in the old traditional culture. The city offers to see many ancient Buddhist temples and shrines. You can find weaving people in old traditional looms.
In the afternoon, you will have a short stop by road to Dhulikhel, traditional Newar village, built on a ridge, at 2000 m of altitude.

Day 04: KATHMANDU – POKHARA (205 Km / 05 Heures)
You will have a morning drive to Pokhara after breakfast - a pleasant climate resort renowned for its mild climate and breathtaking view of the Annapurna range. Enjoy a boat trip on Lake Phewa (about 1h) and journey to the temple of the goddess Varahi, nestled on a small romantic island. 

In the afternoon, you will visit more of Pokhara: the Devis falls, the Bindebasani temple in the old town, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga, the gorges and the natural basins of the Seti river.

Day 05: TREK (Pokhara – Sarangkot – 10 Kms)
On this day you will see a sunrise over the Himalayas from Sarankot (1,592 m) and enjoy a picnic breakfast at the summit (weather permitting). It is a good preparation for the longer trek you have the option of doing and there are beautiful views to be seen as well as hearing several varieties of birds in the morning. You will encounter stairs and sometimes a steep hiking trails, with some views overlooking Pokhara from above.

There are two hiking trails in Sarangkot, Sedi Bagar is the most popular. Duration: 2h30 to 3h ascent; 1h30 descent from the lake. Perfect for anyone who wants to do something active and rewarding whilst on holiday. 
At the end of the day return, Pokhara then enjoy free time to stroll in the alleys and shops of the local bazaar.

Day 06: POKHARA – CHITWAN (199 Km / 04 Heures)
After breakfast, drive to Chitwan Reserve where you will enjoy an afternoon at leisure and a stay in the heart of the jungle.

Overnight in a lodge in the heart of the jungle, with meals.


Day 07: ROYAL CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK 
Depart early in the morning, after breakfast, by elephant or jeep - on this day you will go for a walk through the jungle, where you can discover the flora and fauna of the Chitwan reserve.
In the afternoon, you will also go on a short walk around the lodge after returning from your morning walk for lunch. Canoeing may also be possible in the afternoon.

Overnight in a lodge in the heart of the jungle, with meals.


Day 08: CHITWAN – KATHMANDU (201 Km / 04 Hrs)
After breakfast, depart for Kathmandu. Once checked in to your hotel, you will then enjoy free time to stroll around your local area.

Day 09: KATHMANDU – AIRPORT - DEPART
Our members will receive a complimentary breakfast at the hotel before transferring to the airport for an international flight home.

12 Night Itinerary

Day 2: KATHMANDU - PATAN - BUNGMATI - KHOKANA - KATHMANDU  
You will head on your first excursion after breakfast. Head to the old town of Patan located on the south bank of the Bagmati River. It is composed of many Buddhist monuments and about ten Hindu temples and is famous for being the city of artists. It is also known as Lalitpur, "the city of beauty". 
In the afternoon, you will visit Bungmati and Khokana, two 16th century villages south of Kathmandu. Bungmati is the winter home of Lord Rato Machhendranath, Patan's protective God. You will stroll through narrow streets surrounded by wooden and brick houses. Karya Binayak's tomb is located between the two villages. In the Newar village of Khokana, you can see old oil factories in the village houses.

Day 3: KATHMANDU - POKHARA (210 km/7h)  
After breakfast, Drive to Pokhara, an enchanting city nestled in a quiet valley at 827 m altitudes. The valley, covered with thick forests cheered by crystalline rivers and lakes, offers magnificent views over the Himalayas and the Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machchapuchhre Mountains and five peaks of Annapurna. 
On the way, you will stop at Bandipur, which is an open-air museum of culture and Newar architecture. Walk in the medieval village and you will visit the Bindebasini Mandir temple dedicated to Durga.

Day 4: POKHARA  
In the morning, you will go on a 2-3h hiking through rice fields and salt forests to the Peace Pagoda built by the Buddhist monks of the Japanese organization Nipponzan Myohoji to promote peace in the world (after breakfast).
When you return to Pokhara, you will enjoy an afternoon cruise on Phewa Tal Lake, the second largest lake in the country. Enjoy free time therefore and head for a stroll in the city.

Day 05: TREK (Pokhara – Sarangkot – 10 Kms)

Day 6: POKHARA - TANSEN - LUMBINI, Buddha's birthplace (202 km/8h)  
After breakfast, drive to Tansen, a small town inhabited by the Newar ethnic group that gives a glimpse of Nepal's past. Continue on to Lumbini, and see more of this small village of the Terai and cradle of Buddhism. This is a sacred place of pilgrimage for Buddhists from all over the world, classified World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Day 7: LUMBINI
On this day, after breakfast, you will visit Lumbini: the pillar of Ashoka, the temple dedicated to the mother of Buddha and erected by the emperor Ashoka in 249 BC, the Puskarni basin where the mother of Buddha bathed before giving birth to her son and the temple of Mayadevi which exactly locates the birthplace of Buddha.

Day 8: LUMBINI - CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK (170 km/4h)  
Drive to Chitwan National Park after breakfast. This is a place that is listed as a Natural Heritage site by UNESCO and it is one of the largest forest areas in Asia, teeming with wild species such as the extremely rare unicorn rhinoceros, several varieties of fallow deer, the juggling bear, the leopard, the wild boar, the freshwater dolphin, the crocodile, the elusive Bengal tiger and over 350 species of birds.

Day 9: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
This day is dedicated to exploring Chitwan Park with a naturalist. After your breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy walking in nature, bird watching and more...

Day 10: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK - KATHMANDU (176 km/6h)  
After breakfast, you will return to Kathmandu by a superb road crossing magnificent landscapes and villages.

Day 11: KATHMANDU - BHADGAON (BHAKTAPUR) - NAGARKOT – KATHMANDU (35 km/1h)  
Drive to Nagarkot, a small village perched at an altitude of 2 168 m, after breakfast and enjoy exceptional panoramas over the mountains on your way. You will visit Bhadgaon which was founded in the 9th century and shaped like a conch. You will also discover the temple of Nyatapola.

Day 12: KATHMANDU -  CHANGUNARAYAN - DHULIKHEL - KATHMANDU (35 km/1h)  
On your last day, enjoy breakfast before heading out to visit the temple of Changunarayan, registered with the World Heritage. Dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, it is one of the most beautiful specimens of pagoda architecture. The exquisite woodcarvings and stone make it a remarkable building. 

After here, departure for Dhulikhel. This city offers a magnificent view of the snow-covered mountains of the Karyolung to the east and the Himalchuli to the west. The ancient crossing point of the Tibetan road, the temples and wooden houses bear witness to a glorious past.

Then you will visit the temple of Pashupatinath, the temple of Lord Shiva, with its golden 2-level roof and silver door, it is considered one of the most sacred temples for Hindus. You can observe the temple and the activities that take place in the courtyard from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River and visit the colossal stupa of Buddhanath, the world centre of Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 13: DHULIKHEL - PANAUTI – KATHMANDU - DEPARTURE
You will have enough time in the morning to enjoy your last breakfast and head out on an excursion to Panauti (50 km/3h).

Located at the confluence of the Punyamati and Roshi Khola rivers, where the banks are dotted with temples and cremation ghats, you will discover the temple of Indreshwar Mahadev.
Return to Kathmandu airport and depart on your return flight home.

If you have booked transfers car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services. Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.
