Your Destinations —
Ubud
When you think of Bali, images of Ubud's towering temples and lush, green rice terraces are often dreamt up. While the centre of Ubud's town is busy with tourists, traditional craft shops and cultural landmarks, the real draw of Ubud lies in its tranquil outskirts, which are rich in hypnotic and stunningly scenic natural beauty.
As the heartland of the island, Ubud is ideal for both those who want a total escape from their daily life, and those who wish to uncover the ancient secrets of Balinese culture. Undoubtedly, a must-see spot on any tourist's list is the Ubud Monkey Forest, where over 700 long-tailed macaques share their spiritual home with daily visitors. In addition to the lively residents, the forest boasts 186 different species of tree and several sacred temples.
Another Ubud highlight is the Tegallalang Rice Terrace, a prime photo-stop that showcases some of the most beautiful terraced fields in all of Southeast Asia. We highly recommend heading here to enjoy the absolute best of Bali's nature - it also promises a cool, breezy atmosphere which is more than welcome following a break at the beach!
Jimbaran
Home to seafood restaurants, luxury seafront hotels, and beautiful secluded beaches, Jimbaran is one of Bali’s top destinations. Located in the south, tourists come here to get a taste of slow, beachside living, in a place where they can sip a cocktail at a chic bar or dive into pristine waters in a serene setting.
When you’re not relaxing on the beach, discover this region’s past with a visit to the awe-inspiring Uluwatu Temple, a unique attraction that's perched on a cliff 70m above sea level. The Dreamland Beach is the ultimate place to test out surfing skills or simply to enjoy sea views, and the famed Rock Bar on the cliff edge is an unbeatable spot for those wishing to witness one of Bali’s breathtaking sunsets.
Lombok
Nestled just 35 km east of Bali and just 10 minutes by speedboat from the idyllic Gili Islands, the quiet and unassuming island of Lombok offers a culture less touched by widespread tourism - its charm lies in its tranquil coastal areas, where virgin white beaches and green mountains can be found in abundance.
Excellent surfing, sleepy traditional villages, a laid back atmosphere and breathtaking natural beauty will lull you into total relaxation. For those who fancy more adventure, booking in an excursion to climb the mighty Mount Rinjani is sure to be a holiday highlight.
