The Lost Temple of Angkor – Explore Banteay Srei & Beng Mealea

Marvel at Cambodia's cultural and architectural heritage with a day trip to discover its most beautiful temples and sacred sites...
You'll start the day with a transfer to Banteay Srei ‘The citadel of women’, the only major temple not built by a monarch. Originally built in the 10th century and dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, this red sandstone temple is one of the most important structures in Angkor, recognisable by its walls which are decorated with elaborate carvings that have been remarkably well preserved.
In the afternoon, drive to the jungle temple of Beng Mealea, a Hindu temple that also features some carvings representing Buddhist motifs. The temple is largely unrestored, with trees and vegetation growing through its towers and courtyards, and many of its stones lying in large heaps, giving it an enchanting atmosphere. Away from the usual tourist routes, this remote temple offers a fascinating opportunity to experience a ruined Angkor temple surrounded by dense jungle, keeping you away from the crowds.
Mount Phnom Kulen & Kampong Phluk Floating Village

Set off to discover Mount Phnom Kulen, regarded as Cambodia's holiest mountain, with its roots deeply rooted in Khmer tradition since 802 AD, when Jayavarman II proclaimed Cambodia's independence from Java.
Visit two remarkable sites revered by Cambodians, the Preah Ang Thom pagoda with its giant reclining Buddha, and the 1,000 lingas carved in the ‘valley of the Lingas’ or ‘river of the Lingas’, carved with sculptures of gods and Hindu symbols. You will also stop at a waterfall for a refreshing swim if you wish, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
Continue your afternoon visit to the floating village of Kampong Phluk, one of the most impressive and unspoilt permanent installations on Tonle Sap Lake. Home to over 3,000 villagers, this charming village allows you to observe the submerged mangrove forest and lakeside village life up close.
You'll board the local boat and set off on an informative cruise that immerses you in nature and the diverse way of life of the villages on the lake as you navigate between mangroves, houses on stilts, the floating school and the police station.
Island Hoping: Cruise along the picturesque islands of Kep (minimum 2 people)

Enjoy discovering the lesser-known islands around Kep, home to some of Cambodia's best-kept secrets.
Explore uninhabited islands and observe the daily life of local fishing communities dotted around the islands. Stop at a deserted beach to snorkel around the island and explore the fragile marine ecosystem surrounding the island. After a well-deserved rest and snack, enjoy a delicious sparkling wine before continuing your island-to-island discovery and returning to the mainland in the late morning.
Discover the countryside of Kep and Kampot by tuk tuk (minimum 2 people)

Discover lush, rural landscapes and immerse yourself in the rhythm of the Cambodian countryside (9am - 4pm).
