Iguazu

After exploring the city, head to beautiful Iguazu! Here you will be greeted by Iguazu Falls, a breathtaking group of of over 200 waterfalls that make up the largest waterfall system in the world! This UNESCO World Heritage Site sits on the border between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay on the Iguazu River and is a truly magnificent sight to see. Feast your eyes on this expansive natural wonder where you will be entranced by the sheer power and volume of these glorious cascades. Explore the rainforest and various plantlife that inhabit the National Park as you take in this incredible offering of nature.

Your Itinerary —

Day 1: Arrival into Rio de Janeiro 
Upon arrival into Rio de Janeiro, you'll be transferred to the hotel. The rest pf the day will be spent at leisure. Overnight at Arena Leme Hotel in a Standard Room or similar.

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro (Historical Downtown Private Walking City Tour - using the subway)
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a private walking tour of the historical downtown of the city. Overnight at Arena Leme Hotel in a Standard Room or similar.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro (Corcovado and Sugar Loaf visit)
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a Rio Express shared tour of Corcovado and Sugar Loaf (lunch not included). It may be possible to upgrade to a private tour at the next stage, with lunch included. Overnight at Arena Leme Hotel in a Standard Room or similar.

Day 4: Rio de Janeiro 
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a day at leisure to explore the city and make the most of this time to discover its surroundings. Overnight at Arena Leme Hotel in a Standard Room or similar.

Day 5: Rio de Janeiro to Iguazu 
After breakfast at the hotel, take a private transfer from the hotel to the airport for your internal flight to Iguzu (only driver - Portuguese speaking). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel (only driver - Portuguese speaking). Overnight at Continental Inn (or similar) in Master Apartment or similar.

IMPORTANT:
The domestic flight Rio de Janeiro / Iguazú (Brazilian side) is not included in our offers. You will have to book it on your own.Please let us know the schedule of your domestic flight between Rio airport and Iguazú airport on the Brazilian side (IGU) after your reservation so that we can organize your transfers.
Day 6: Iguazu (Half-day Brazilian side visit - tickets not included)
After breakfast at the hotel, take a half-day visit to the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls. This tour is shared, however, at the next stage of the booking process you may upgrade to a private version of this tour. Overnight at Continental Inn (or similar) in Master Apartment or similar.

Day 7: Iguazu (Half-day Argentinian side visit - tickets not included)
After breakfast at the hotel, take a half-day visit to the Argentian side of Iguazu Falls. This tour is shared, however, at the next stage of the booking process you may upgrade to a private version of this tour. Overnight at Continental Inn (or similar) in Master Apartment or similar.

Day 8: Departure from Iguazu
After breakfast, you will take a private transfer from your hotel to the airport (only driver - Portuguese speaking) for your flight home.

Rio de Janeiro was Brazil’s capital for almost two centuries, until 1960. Nowadays, while strolling the streets downtown, it is possible to admire many architectural influences from different periods where historical and modern constructions tell together Rio’s history. This walking tour visits important sites for the history of Rio. The guests will enjoy the city as a real Carioca, using the metro as their transportation. By the end of the visit, in the charming and narrow downtown streets, a stop at the traditional Colombo Café for refreshments, before returning to the hotel.

Our trip begins at the National Iguaçu Park where we board for a drive through the lush subtropical vegetation of park in route to the falls. Stroll the trail descending the canyon that offers the most panoramic view of more than 240 falls. The Iguassu National Park along with its “sister” park in Argentina forms the most significant remaining rainforest in the southern cone which together with the cataracts has been declared a National Heritage Site by UNESCO.

At the entrance the passenger will take a little train for a visit through the park with 2 stops until the trail where the walking tour begins to the visit the upper walkways which allow a different and more intimate contact with the falls and the rainforest. The highlight of the trip is a visit to the suspended platform at the very brink of the abysmal Devil’s Throat – largest of the waterfalls.

Your Optional Excursions

Depart from the hotel after breakfast to visit the most famous landmarks of the city and see the natural beauty of Rio de Janeiro from up above. The first stop is at the Christ the Redeemer, located 2,300 ft above sea level. The way up is on a comfortable van that ascends the mountain where the statue of the Christ, known as the “wonder of Rio” was recently elected one of the 7 "New Wonders of the World". Afterwards, descend the mountain and stop for a delicious Brazilian Barbecue lunch.

From there it’s time for another iconic symbol of Rio de Janeiro: the world-famous ‘Pão de Açúcar’, (Sugar Loaf Mountain). Rising up from a small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, the journey to the top is made in glass cable-cars which takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. From Urca Hill, passengers continue in a second cable-car to the top of Sugar Loaf, achieving a 360-degree view of the entire city.

The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Please note: The internal domestic flight transfer from Rio de Janeiro to Iguazur is not included. Customers will have to book this on their own. Please let us know the schedule of your domestic flight between Rio airport and Iguazú airport on the Brazilian side (IGU) after your reservation so that we can organize your transfers.
