One of the world's most recognisable cities, this metropolis is a mix of quaint colonial architecture, booming businesses, and bikini clad bodies honing an ever deepening tan on Copacabana beach. The home of Samba and the Caipirinha cocktail, the city has an unmistakable party atmosphere all year round, which you can't help but be infected by!
Originally a small fishing town, today Búzios is now a chic bohemian seaside resort which draws a well-helled clientele from all over the world.
A paradise for foodies, nature lovers and surfers, Buzios is a stunning peninsula, just over 2 hours from Rio. Grand villas and sprawling mansions nestle in the lush trees, overlooking the miles of stunning shoreline. Buzios is home to a incredible 23 beaches, so your hardest decision will be which one to visit first!
The marine and land wildlife are a great attraction for ecotourists, who can explore endemic vegetation in the jungle, including the cabeça-branca cactus, or scuba dive in the crystal clear waters.
The area also has a lively night-life - head to Rua das Pedras for the best selection of bustling cafes, restaurants and boutique shops.
Porto Bay Rio Internacional 4* —
You will be staying for 4-nights in a Superior Room on a bed & breakfast basis.
Just for you: One Caipirinha per person at the bar
The pool is located on the 20th floor, for amazing views, and the pool bar comes alive as the sun sets, with live music and flowing cocktails. The hotel also has a private section of famous Copacabana beach for you to enjoy.
La Finestra restaurant offers a varied buffet breakfast and delicious local cuisine for dinner - don't miss the traditional Brazilian 'picanha' steak.
Porto Bay Buzios 4* —
You will be staying for 4-nights in a Junior Suite, on a bed & breakfast basis.
Just for you: One Caipirinha per person at the bar.
Enjoy the open air spa, or lounge by the peaceful pool. The hotel is around a 15 minute walk from the nearest beach.
The pool bar serves drinks and light snacks from 08:30 -20:00, and the lobby bar is open until 21:30.
There is no restaurant for the evening, but you are surrounded by numerous choices which the hotel are happy to book for you.
Facilities and services include: queen size bed, air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, room service from 1pm to 8.30pm and free Wi-Fi.

One of the Seven Wonders of the World, the magnificent Christ the Redeemer, the iconic statue on top of Corcovado Hill is Rio’s most famous landmark. The Corcovado Hill is part of the Tijuca Forest - the largest urban forest in the world. On the way to its top is the Dona Marta belvedere, from where it is possible to see the Maracanã Stadium, the famous Guanabara Bay and the beautiful Sugar Loaf. Once at the top of Corcovado Hill, you can admire breathtaking views of Copacabana, Ipanema, Leblon, Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Botanical Garden.
This tour departs from the hotel after breakfast to visit the most famous landmarks sites of the city and see a birdseye view of the natural beauty of Rio. After a scenic drive along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, guests arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado Hill. They embark on a comfortable train that ascends the mountain to the statue of Christ the Redeemer, located 2,300 ft above sea level. Once at the top, they can use the panoramic elevators or escalators to get to the foot of the statute, as well as enjoy a panoramic view of Rio de Janeiro.
Every year, over a million visitors go to the famous Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf Mountain), an iconic symbol of the city of Rio de Janeiro. Its name was given due to the resemblance to the traditional shape of a refined sugar loaf.
The journey to the top is made in glass cable cars. The first cable car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 metres above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay and its surrounding islands. At Urca Hill, passengers take the second cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf, which rises 395 metres above sea level and offers a 360 degrees view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, Corcovado Hill and Rio’s downtown.
