Your optional excursions & activities —
Group trip to Pedra do Telégrafo
Located west of Rio, at an altitude of 345 meters in the Pedra Branca National Park is Pedra do Telégrafo. It offers breathtaking views of the beaches, Tijuca Forest, Barra da Tijuca, plenty of natural forests and wildlife, and the famous Restinga de Marambaia, a restricted-access beach measuring nearly 43 km in length.
Private tour of Tijuca & Rocinha favela
Visit the Tijuca Forest in a Jeep. Before the 19th century, Rio de Janeiro was surrounded by the Atlantic rainforest. Today, all that remains is the 33-square-kilometer jungle known as the Tijuca National Park (Parque Nacional da Tijuca). Dotted with tropical trees intertwined with jungle vines, the world's largest urban forest is home to ocelots, howler monkeys, more than 300 bird species, waterfalls, and one of Rio's iconic monuments, the Christ the Redeemer statue (Cristo Redentor) standing atop Corcovado.
After, visit the Rocinha favela. Follow your local guide through the area and learn more about what life is like in this neighbourhood. Rio's favelas play a significant role in the city's life, and this non-intrusive tour aims to introduce you to their reality in a respectful manner with the locals. Additionally, a portion of the tour price is donated to the community to help build a better future.

Your destination —
Rio De Janeiro
Presided over by the iconic Christ the Redeemer sculpture, Rio de Janeiro is an instantly-recognisable city with heaps of attractions. Its city centre offers a mix of quaint colonial architecture, modern businesses, and a sun-drenched beach, making it the perfect place for a memorable, one-of-a-kind city trip.
The home of Samba and the Caipirinha cocktail, this city has an unmistakable party atmosphere - make the most of this by taking a visit to the Sambadrome, which hosts the official Rio Carnival in the week before Lent, but where you can see the local samba schools rehearsing from December onwards. End your day exploring the city’s bars, sampling not only the iconic cocktail, but a chope, a draught beer characteristically served in tall glasses.
Of course, the unmissable attraction in the city is the magnificent Christ the Redeemer, a beautiful sculpture in the top of Corcovado Hill and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Travellers can opt to take the charming tram to the top of the hill, where you’re greeted by a spectacular view of the city centre, plus Sugarloaf Mountain and Copacabana beach!
