Rio de Janeiro

One of the world's most recognisable cities, this metropolis is a mix of quaint colonial architecture, booming businesses, and a sun-drenched expanse of beach. The home of Samba and the Caipirinha cocktail, the city has an unmistakable party atmosphere all year round, which you can't help but be infected by!  The Golden Tulip Rio Copacabana enjoys a prime location across from Post 5, the best stretch of beach in Copacabana.

Paraty

This is a exquisite example of a Colonial town which juts out into the an island-studded bay. Brightly coloured buildings and terracotta roofs contrast beautifully with the deep green of the mountains beyond, making this region a beautiful break from the busy streets of Rio de Janeiro. Visitors can easily spend a day roaming Paraty's cobbled streets and trying local delicacies at one of the city's traditional cafes which cascade onto the streets.

Half Day Tour of Corcovado & Sugar Loaf by Jeep

One of the Seven Wonders of the World is the magnificent Christ the Redeemer, a beautiful sculpture in the top of Corcovado Hill that is one of Rio’s most famous postcards. After breakfast, convertible jeeps will arrive to transport you to iconic sights such as the Christ the Redeemer statue on top of Corcovado mountain before you continue onto the Urca neighbourhood to visit Sugar Loaf.  The rest of the day is free to explore Rio de Janeiro.

Half Day Walking Tour of Historic Downtown Rio

A walk through downtoen Rio encompasses many important sights in the history of Rio, such as São Bento Monastery, Candelaria Church, XV Square, Travessa do Comércio (street market), Imperial Palace and Gonçalves Dias Street, where the traditional Colombo Café and the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center are located. Downtown Rio is an melting pot of edgy art, fascinating history and eclectic architecture.

Rio Carnival —

If you choose to travel to Brazil on Sunday 11th February you will be in Rio de Janeiro over its famous carnival.

This offer includes tickets to section 9 of the Grandstand with shared transfers to/from Sambadrome on the 8th day of your stay.

Rio's famous carnival is a wild celebration of Brazilian culture. The pinnacle of this festivity is Sunday's parade where the top 12 or 14 samba schools surround elaborate floats bedecked in spectacular costumes. Brightly coloured feathers, sparkling jewels and bold body-paint...nothing is deemed over the top in this intoxicating fiesta!

Day 1: Arrival in Brazil
Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, you will transferred straight to the city of Paraty (approx. travel time: 5 hours). 

Day 2: Boat Tour of Paraty
Embark on a 5 hour tour of Paraty's idyllic surroundings, this tour will include an English speaking guide, our members can add lunch on board at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee. The afternoon is free to explore.

Day 3: Free time in Paraty
Experience the authentic Carnival of Paraty, its less well known that Rio's but its no less fun.

Day 4: Paraty - Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast you will be transferred back to Rio de Janeiro.

Day 5-6: Rio de Janeiro
Spend some more time soaking up this city's unique vibe.

Day 7: Carnival Day
Spend your last day in Brazil enjoying Rio's famously wild carnival.

Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight home.

Day 5: Rio de Janeiro
Spend the day exploring the iconic sights of Corcovado & Sugar Loaf mountain...a must for any visitor.

Day 6-7: Rio de Janeiro
Spend some more time soaking up this city's unique vibe.

Day 8: Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight home.

You will be spending 3 nights in a Superior Room with breakfast included.

This inviting guesthouse draws its inspiration from traditional colonial-style architecture. Highlights include homely furnishngs and a pool nestled within lush vegetation where you can cool down. Pousada do Principe can be found within Paraty's historic part, just a 10 minute walk from both Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Remédios church and Teatro Espaço.

This modern hotel is just 50m from the beach. Guests  can unwind on the hotel's panoramic pool deck, head to one of the 2 saunas or try some local favourites in the hotel's restaurant. Each room has been recently refurbished and features a pleasingly modern design.

Windsor Plaza

This hotel is just 1 minutes from the beach, guests can enjoy a rooftop pool just metres from the lively shores of Copacabana Beach.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

Flight Inclusive Offers 
You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct.  If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents.  You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services.  Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
