Recife is the capital of Pernambuco - one of the earliest Portuguese settlements in Brazil, and a melting pot of European, African and indigenous culture. These myriad of influences can be seen in Pernambuco's food, music and architecture - Recife's Old Town being a prime example of this.

Music is an ever present soundtrack to daily life in this city,  from the universally popular forró, which originated in Pernambuco, to frenetic frevo and the big drum beats of maracatu.
Recife's smaller and quieter neighbour Olinda, is a charming, historic town full of picturesque churches, colonial architecture and artisan boutiques - it's easy to see why it has received UNESCO World Cultural Heritage status.

Perched on a hilltop overlooking Recife, it feels like you are travelling back in time when you visit Olinda, whose cobbled streets are lined with magnificent Baroque churches, pastel-hued houses and grand colonial mansions.

Shady plazas with spouting fountains and swaying palms invite visitors to slow down, sit a while, and drink in the view.

North and south of these centres stretches a short but glorious coast with dozens of palm-fringed sandy beaches, great surfing waves and crystal-clear reef pools...

Introducing Pernambuco, Brazil

60 km south of Recife, Porto de Galinhas is a laid back fishing village, popular with locals for family-friendly beach breaks.

Although it does get busy in peak season and around national holidays, it has retained its laid back village charm. There is a clutch of large hotels, but not much nightlife to speak of.  Porto de Galinhas' USP is its miles of sandy white beaches, one of which is world famous for surfing (Maracaipe). The coral reef is perfect for snorkelling, boat trips and swimming.

There are a few small restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from, and the food is generally excellent and cheap, with lots of fresh fish and barbequed meats on the menu.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct.  If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents.  You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, Meet & Greet, car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services.  Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your Safe Senders list or check your Junk mail regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
