Wander through charming cafés inspired by tango, marvel at the world-renowned Colon Theatre, and stroll the colourful streets of La Boca, Buenos Aires’ first port, where the vibrant Caminito street, with its multicoloured houses of wood and corrugated iron, echoes the birthplace of the Tango. Immerse yourself in the park’s rich biodiversity, with hundreds of colourful butterflies fluttering around, and take in breathtaking panoramic views of the thundering falls. At the trail’s end, an elevator rises to reveal a spectacular vantage point over the Brazilian park and the Floreano Falls, one of the most stunning perspectives the park has to offer.

  • Breakfast included.
  • Half-day visit to Iguazu Falls - Brazilian side (entrance not included).
  • Overnight stay in Iguazu.

Begin with a visit to the local museum, then follow the lower trail, offering views of stunning falls such as Salto Dos Hermanas, Salto Bossetti, and Salto Escondido, along with a panoramic glimpse of Isla San Martín and Salto Unión. Next, take the upper trail, walking along elevated boardwalks above the main falls to reach the majestic Salto San Martín, with sweeping views of the Brazilian side. Finally, hop aboard the Jungle Train to Garganta del Diablo station. From there, a 1,000-metre walkway leads you to the awe-inspiring Devil’s Gorge, where the Iguazú River thunders below, and the cascading water creates the illusion of a rainbow.

  • Breakfast included.
  • Full-day visit to Iguazu Falls - Argentine side (entrance not included).
  • Optional activity: The Grand Adventure (available for an extra cost at the next step of the booking).
  • Overnight stay in Iguazu.

Day 6: Iguazu → Salta

Today, you'll fly to Salta, the charming provincial capital nestled in Argentina’s mountainous northwest. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take time to explore the city’s Spanish colonial architecture and rich Andean heritage at your own pace. Stroll around the elegant Plaza 9 de Julio, lined with inviting cafés, and admire landmarks such as the Salta Cathedral and El Cabildo, an 18th-century town hall now serving as a museum. • Breakfast included.
  • Transfer hotel ⇄ airport included.
  • Flight Puerto Iguazu (IGR) → Salta (SLA).
  • Overnight stay in Salta.

DAY 7: SALTA → CAFAYATE (190 KM - 3:30 HOURS)

In the morning, pick up your car hire and follow the scenic Route 68 to Cafayate, leaving behind the lush green of the Lerma Valley as it gives way to warm, earthy tones. The Quebrada de las Conchas unfolds before you like a vast, open-air natural museum. Towering rock formations in vibrant reds and oranges, sculpted over millions of years by wind and water, line the route. Every turn reveals a new postcard-perfect landscape: the Garganta del Diablo, with its deep, dramatic walls, the Amphitheatre, with its perfect acoustics and Los Castillos, majestic formations that evoke the ruins of an ancient civilisation.

Once in Cafayate, we recommend visiting one of the city’s renowned vineyards. Wander through the vineyards, discover the art of winemaking, and be sure to taste the region’s signature Torrontés, along with other exquisite local wines.

DAY 9: SALTA → PARMAMARCA (270 KM - 4 HOURS)

Set off on another road trip along National Route 9 to Purmamarca, passing through the stunning Quebrada de Humahuaca and its sublime Andean landscapes. Cross charming villages inhabited by the Coyas Indians before reaching Purmamarca, a picturesque village dominated by its famous Mountain of Seven Colours. Upon arrival, explore the village, browse the Indian craft market, and take a walk along the "De los Coloraditos" trail. From there, the Paseo de los Colorados trail leads into the surrounding desert landscapes, offering spectacular views of the colourful mountains.

Next, continue to Salinas Grandes, one of northwestern Argentina’s most spectacular and unforgettable sights. From Purmamarca, the route ascends the breathtaking Cuesta de Lipán, a winding mountain pass rising over 4,000 meters above sea level, with panoramic views at every turn. At the summit, the dazzling expanse of the Salinas Grandes unfolds: an immense salt desert stretching across the Altiplano. The brilliant white landscape, its absolute silence, and the surreal atmosphere make it a perfect spot for photography and to discover the traditional salt-harvesting techniques of the local communities.

  • Breakfast included.
  • Overnight stay in Parmamarca.

Day 10: Purmamarca

Today, we recommend a visit to the Quebrada de Humahuaca, declared a UNESCO Cultural and Natural Heritage of Humanity in 2003. Stop in Tilcara, home to the pre-Columbian city built by the Humahuaquenas, the Pucará de Tilcara, and its fascinating archaeological museum. Continue to Humahuaca via the town of Uquía, and don’t miss the Sierra de Hornocal, where the village is overlooked by its striking mineral rainbow. For a full panoramic view of this extraordinary palette, continue 25 km along Route 73, which climbs to 4,200 meters. The Cerro Hornocal formation, composed of folded Yacoraite layers covered with soft sandstone, displays colours ranging from ocher to green, red, and purple, shaped by millions of years of sedimentation. Sparse vegetation punctuates the rugged landscape, contrasting sharply with the lush Rio Grande valley below. Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires, Argentina’s vibrant capital, enchants with its blend of European elegance, Latin passion and cosmopolitan energy. From tree-lined boulevards and grand architecture to colourful barrios alive with music and dance, the city captures the very soul of South America. This is the birthplace of tango, a city that never sleeps, where every street seems to pulse with culture and character.

Must-sees:

  • Plaza de Mayo and Casa Rosada: The historic heart of Buenos Aires, framed by the city’s pink presidential palace, a landmark of Argentina’s political life.

Culinary culture:

Buenos Aires is a paradise for food lovers. Indulge in a traditional parrilla (steakhouse) for Argentina’s world-renowned beef, accompanied by a glass of Malbec. Sample empanadas from a street vendor, enjoy artisanal ice cream inspired by Italian gelato, or try mate, the traditional herbal infusion shared among friends.

Dive deeper:

Immerse yourself in the rhythm of tango at an authentic milonga, where locals and visitors dance until dawn. Explore Palermo’s leafy parks and trendy boutiques, or admire street art in Colegiales and Villa Crespo. Football fans will be swept up by the passion of a match at La Bombonera or El Monumental. For a cultural escape, the Teatro Colón is one of the world’s great opera houses, offering a glimpse of Buenos Aires’ refined side.

Good to know:

Buenos Aires is well connected, with two main airports: Ezeiza for international arrivals and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery for domestic flights. The best times to visit are spring (September to November) and Fall (March to May), when the weather is mild and the jacaranda trees fill the streets with purple blossoms. The city is vast but easy to navigate by metro, bus or affordable taxis. Walking is the best way to absorb the atmosphere of each neighbourhood, from bohemian San Telmo to elegant Recoleta.
