The City of Buenos Aires is the capital of the Argentine Republic and is located in the southern hemisphere. Including the metropolitan area, the total population of Buenos Aires is above ten million, making it one of the 10 most populated urban centres in the world. The Río de la Plata and the Riachuelo are the natural borders of the city on the east and south, respectively. The rest of the metropolitan perimeter is surrounded by the General Paz Avenue from north to west. This avenue provides a fast connection between the city and the Greater Buenos Aires, a densely populated area with important business and industrial activity.
Buenos Aires is one of the most fascinating cities in both Latin America and the world. Be it for its splendid and varied architecture, with its old Colonial buildings, French palaces and state-of-the-art skyscrapers; for its vibrant nightlife and endless cultural options; or maybe just for the rich identity of the Porteños, who proudly bear the European heritage of their ancestors, more and more are coming to visit.
Through all the highs and lows, one thing has remained constant: Buenos Aires’s graceful elegance and cosmopolitan cool.
Mendoza is the capital city of Mendoza Province, in Argentina. It is located in the northern-central part of the province, in a region of foothills and high plains, on the eastern side of the Andes. Mendoza is the fourth largest census metropolitan area in the country. The region around Greater Mendoza is the largest wine producing area in Latin America. As such, Mendoza is one of nine cities worldwide in the network of Great Capitals of Wine, and the city is an emerging wine tourism destination and base for exploring the hundreds of wineries in the region.
Mendoza is the star of the show due to the incredible diversity of its wine production. Its wines range between world-famous, award-winning malbecs, and simple vino patero (foot-pressed wine).
Fast becoming one of the Argentina’s must-sees, Salta is an old colonial city filled with remarkable architecture, rugged natural landscapes, mountains, vineyards and valleys. Its beating heart, the city of Salta, has emerged only in the last few years as a shining beacon on the tourist map. The winning blend of sophistication, Latin gregariousness and frontier hospitality makes the mountainous region as charming as it is.
Salta, gateway to the plateau, is an attraction in its own right. It is one of the best-preserved Spanish-colonial cities in South America.
Iguazu National Park is located in the northwest of the province of Misiones, 11 miles from Puerto Iguazú. Created in 1939, it houses the largest remnant of Atlantic forest in southern Brazil. The name of the Iguassu National Park refers to the Iguassu River, which in the Guaraní language means “large water”. It has 185,262.5 thousand hectares and houses an enormous biodiversity. Its preserved ecosystem belongs to the Paraná Jungle eco region that covers almost all the provincial territory. The natural treasure being hosted are the Iguazú Waterfalls: 275 waterfalls that reach an altitude of almost 260 feet. They were declared one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature in the World and, also, Mankind Natural Heritage. Iguazú Watefalls are made of 275 jumps upto 80 m high, fed by the Iguazú river flow. You can take boat rides under the waterfalls and hiking trails to appreciate subtropical jungle animals.
Iguazu Falls are actually a system of 275 drops that create tiers of waterfalls in a horseshoe shape that's dotted by islands, draped in mist, and linked by rainbows… the falls are nature at its most dramatic and humbling.
