Your Itinerary —
Flight to Tirana. Pick up your rented car at the airport and drive to Durrës. Explore the cobbled streets of Old Durrës, including the charming Italian-style Rruga Tregëtare. Take in the breathtaking ocean vistas from the town hall before descending to the harbour. Stroll along Currila Beach to watch the sunset. Overnight in Durrës.
Your trip continues south to Berat. Built on a mountainside, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is a unique example of a well-preserved Ottoman town. Churches, mosques and walls are monuments to the history of the different religious communities. Browse the narrow streets to St. Theodore's Church, stroll through the unusual Footpaths of The Old Town and visit the Red Mosque. Overnight in Berat.
Meander along the coast through Vlorë to Sarandë. Travel through the Llogara National Park and take a break on the stunning beach of Gjipe. This picturesque little seaside resort on the Albanian Riviera has a fishing port, a waterfront as well as wild beaches. Experience true Albanian culture with a stroll through the old town centre and visit Gjirokastër Castle to explore some of the country's history.
