37 km west of Tirana, lies Dürres, the second-largest city in Albania. It is known for its large port... the largest in the country.

 

Stretching for one hundred kilometres along the Ionian Sea, Durres is known as the "capital" of the Albanian Riviera. With its mild climate, small sandy beaches, rich historical and cultural heritage, and lively town centre, Durres is a prime destination for a great escape.
