The Masai Mara is known as one of Africa's Greatest Wildlife Reserves, situated in southwest Kenya. It is famous for its abundance of big cats - lion, leopard and cheetah - the Great Wildebeest Migration and its countless zebras.
Meet the local Maasai people, well known for their distinctive custom and dress, and discover a different way of life. When on a game drive, experience what many people only dream of in a lifetime - days spent side by side with some of the greatest members of the animal kingdom, seen in their natural habitat.
Over many centuries, different cultures have influenced Zanzibar to make the island what it is today. Sumerians, Assyrians, Egyptians, Phoenicians, Indians, Chinese, Persians, Portuguese, Omani Arabs, Dutch and British have settled here at one time or another and influenced the local culture to create the present vibrant fusion. The cuisine, culture, and accepting, friendly attitude is a reflection of the multicultural past and present of the island.
Your Itinerary —

Option 1 – 10 day program (5 nights Zanzibar)
Option 2 - 12 day program (7 nights Zanzibar)
Start days are either a Saturday or Tuesday.
Day 1 Nairobi
Guests will be collected from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transferred to hotel for overnight.
Overnight at EKA Hotel on Bed & Breakfast basis.
Day 2 Nairobi – Masai Mara
After breakfast you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for a scheduled flight to Masai Mara. The flight departs Nairobi at 10:00hrs and arrives approximately at 11:00hrs. Upon arrival, guests will be met and transferred to the lodge. Following lunch, there will be an afternoon game drive returning to lodge as the sun sets. If guests arrive in the afternoon, they will be transferred to the lodge.
Overnight at Governors Camp on full board basis.
Day 3 Masai Mara
Optional Balloon Safari can be booked at additional cost. Rising at dawn with tea and coffee, depart for an early morning game drive before breakfast, catching the animals before the heat of the day sets in. Enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure, followed by an afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets.
Overnight at Governors Camp on full board basis.
Day 4 Masai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets.
Overnight at Governors Camp on full board basis.
Day 5 Masai Mara – Nairobi
Following an early morning game drive and breakfast, guests will be transferred to the nearest airstrip for a scheduled flight to Nairobi. The flight departs Mara at 11:00hrs and arrives into Nairobi at approximately 12:15hrs. Upon arrival, guests will be met and transferred to JKIA for scheduled flight to Zanzibar (booked by Rangers Safaris). On arrival, meet and greet followed by transfer to your beach hotel.
Overnight at Karafuu Beach Hotel - OPTION 1 for 05 nights or OPTION 2 for 7 nights in a garden room on a half board basis.
Day 10 (OPTION 1) or Day 12 (Option 2)
Transfer to Zanzibar airport for schedule flight at 13:00 hrs to Dar International terminal. End of services.

Governors’ Camp is nestled into the forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, it’s waters teeming with bird-life, hippo and crocodile, in the heart of Kenya's Masai Mara National Reserve. The setting is magical; so much so that almost a century ago it was reserved, exclusively, for Kenya’s colonial Governors. And the wildlife viewing is truly exceptional in the vast Masai Mara.
Everything is under canvas with the accommodation in classic safari tents, fitted out to a very high level. Some of the 37 tents line the riverbank, tucked into the forest, where they enjoy uninterrupted views over the Mara River, whilst others have views across the sweeping plains of the Masai Mara.
Boasting a bar tent with deck overlooking the Mara River and a dining tent with views over the plains, this stunning camp offers guests a truly authentic safari experience that they will never forget.
