Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival
Upon arrival at Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi, be welcomed by a guide and transferred to your hotel in the city centre to check in (Hotel early check-in is included with breakfast). Relax after a long journey.
In the afternoon, take a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about legend of the lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple, followed by the Water Puppet show - a uniquely Northern Vietnamese art form depicting scenes from rural life and episodes of national history. Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast, you will be free in the morning to explore the city by yourself!
15:00 - your guide will meet at the hotel. Stroll through Old Quarter, past the old east O Quan Chuong gate to Thanh Ha wet market. Along the way delicacies, strange food items and an explanation of Vietnamese food practices will be given. This busy, eclectic market is alive with the sights and sounds of Hanoi and is the essence of Vietnamese culture.
Continue through the streets of the Old Quarter to Dong Xuan market to sample some local treats such as pho tiu and bun dau. Your guide will explain the routine of Vietnam meal times and indigenous/unusual ingredients eaten. Stroll up 'food alley' to see other dishes on offer.
Walk down to Hang Than Street to view ceremonial cake stalls and taste a special French influenced dessert. An explanation on traditions and food gifts for celebrations will be given. Continue back into the Old Quarter via Hang Cot Street - check out specially treated fruit which are dependable on the seasons and a common snack in Vietnam. Last stop at one of the Old Quarter busiest (yet smallest) coffee shops for a well-earned sit down and coffee before transferring back to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast, you will depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich farmlands of the Delta of Red river and the landscape of rice fields, water buffalo, the daily life of the Vietnamese village. Arrive in Halong and board to board a traditional junk. Lunch on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets in many funny shapes. The cruise may stop for a while for visiting the Surprising Cave. Later on the junk move to docking area for ovenight. Dinner and overnight on board.

In the morning, your brunch will be served while doing further cruising to explore the beauties of the Bay before returning to the Wharf. The junk continues cruising toward Ha Long port. Ready for disembarking. The car and guide will be there to pick you up toward Hanoi and to Noi Bai Airport for a flight to Danang. On arrival, you will be met by a driver [no guide] and proceed further to Hoi An. Check in your hotel and overnight in Hoi An.
After breakfast, you will be free to explore the town by yourself!
13:30 - Ride a bicycle to Tra Que Vegetable Village. Walk around a vegetable garden and join the farmers in preparing the land, fertilising it with seaweeds from the local lake, raking, sowing, watering greens, picking greens and many more gardening activities. Enjoy a foot massage and then spend the rest of the time to learn how to prepare 'Tam Huu' spring rolls & rice pancakes with your host. Ride back to your hotel by bicycle. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An free (Breakfast)

After breakfast, you will be free until being transferred [no guide] to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a guide and check in your hotel.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a half day tour of vibrant Ho Chi Minh City. Visit the Reunification Hall, formerly known as the Presidential Palace it was this modern building that North Vietnamese tanks seized on the morning of April 30 1975, as Saigon fell. This fascinating building is filled with history still fresh in the minds of many. Continue to the War Museum, Old Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
220km = 4 to 5 hours transfer
After breakfast, you will meet the driver [no guide] and proceed to Phan Thiet. Upon arrival, check in your resort and be free at leisure. Overnight in Phan Thiet.
