There are plenty activities on land which include visiting the historic Charlestown, the New River Plantation, the rain forest & ruins, the Sugar Trail and Heritage Highway.
If you are feeling a little more adventurous you can rent a jeep and set out with a picnic basket to explore the rest of the coastline. Discover quiet beaches that are practically deserted, like the dramatic and windswept Atlantic beach known as Indian Castle, last home to the Carib and Arawak Indians. Their pottery and shards still remain buried in the sand.
Swimming in the turquoise waters of Herbert's beach is a revitalising experience, whilst Lover's beach is great for romantics, and watching the sunset at Paradise beach is, well... Paradise!
