11-NIGHT TOUR
DAY 1: VIENTIANE - ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by your driver holding a sign with your name, before being transferred to your hotel in the city. The rest of the day is free, allowing you to settle in and begin discovering Vientiane at your own pace.
Somewhere between a provincial town and a small capital, Vientiane does not immediately feel like a city. As you drive in, urban life blends gently into the surrounding countryside, and it is only gradually that its quiet charm begins to reveal itself.

DAY 2: VIENTIANE
After breakfast, depart at around 8:00 am for a half-day guided tour of Vientiane.
Begin your exploration at the Morning Market (Talat Sao), one of the city’s largest and most vibrant markets, particularly known for its traditional textiles, including Lao silk, cotton and embroidery.
Continue to the Patuxai Monument, built in the 1960s in honour of those who fought for the country’s independence. From the top, enjoy panoramic views over the city.
Your visit continues at Wat Si Saket, one of the oldest temples in Vientiane, distinguished by its elegant architecture and thousands of small Buddha statues lining its cloisters.
Next, discover Pha That Luang, the national symbol of Laos. This golden stupa is the country’s most important religious monument and a key landmark of Lao identity.
Finally, travel just outside the city to Buddha Park, home to more than 200 concrete sculptures depicting Buddha, Hindu deities and mythological figures. Among them is a striking three-tiered pumpkin representing Hell, Earth and Heaven, which visitors can climb for views over the park.

DAY 3: VIENTIANE → VANG VIENG
After breakfast, transfer to the train station to board the high-speed train from Vientiane to Vang Vieng (without a guide on board). Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver and transferred to your hotel. Check-in is available from 2:00 pm.
The remainder of the day is free to explore the area independently, without guide or vehicle.
Set amid dramatic karst landscapes often compared to an inland Halong Bay, Vang Vieng is surrounded by limestone cliffs and bordered by the Nam Song River. The region is renowned for its natural beauty and outdoor activities, from canoeing and kayaking to longtail boat rides, as well as the exploration of its many caves, around thirty of which have been identified to date.

DAY 4: VANG VIENG
Enjoy a full day at leisure to relax or continue discovering the spectacular surroundings of Vang Vieng at your own pace.
Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional excursion (at an additional cost), offering deeper insight into the landscapes and local life of the region.
Optional excursion: Vang Vieng Caves Tour (at additional cost)
With an English-speaking guide and transportation (minimum 2 people), the day begins with a short transfer to the village of Ban Tham Xang, located a few kilometres north of Vang Vieng. Visit Tham Xang Cave before continuing on foot through the countryside, passing between karst cliffs and rice paddies, towards the village of Ban Phatao. Here, you will discover daily life in a Hmong village and, depending on the season, observe agricultural activities or cattle grazing freely.
In the afternoon, return to Vang Vieng for a scenic canoe trip along the Nam Song River, offering beautiful views of the surrounding karst formations. The excursion concludes with a visit to Tham Jiang Cave, a vast cavern that once served as a shelter for local inhabitants during times of conflict.

DAY 5: VANG VIENG → LUANG PRABANG
After breakfast, transfer with your driver to the train station to board the train from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang (approximate schedule: 8:25 am - 9:23 am). The journey is unguided.
Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver and transferred to the city. The rest of the day is free to explore Luang Prabang at your own pace, without guide or vehicle. Meals are at your own expense.
Set amid lush mountains at the confluence of the Mekong River and the Nam Khan River, Luang Prabang is a charming and atmospheric city, renowned for its exceptional architectural heritage. Traditional Lao wooden houses, colonial-era buildings and some of the most refined monasteries in Southeast Asia coexist in perfect harmony. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995, this former royal capital offers a unique blend of culture, religion and history. As you stroll through its narrow streets, you will encounter ancient pagodas, elegant colonial buildings, traditional houses and the former royal palace, all reflecting the city’s rich past.

DAY 6: LUANG PRABANG
Early in the morning, witness the daily alms-giving ceremony, as monks walk through the streets of Luang Prabang and locals rise at dawn to offer food, rice, cakes or fruit in a quiet and respectful ritual.
Afterwards, depart for a guided city tour, beginning with the National Museum. Continue to Wat Mai, the former residence of the Buddhist patriarch until 1975, followed by Wat Xieng Thong, considered one of the most beautiful and emblematic temples in Luang Prabang.
In the afternoon, visit Wat Visoun, built in the 16th century, then Wat Aham
, a shrine dedicated to the ancestors of Laos. The tour continues with a visit to the Thai Lu village of Phanom. End the day with an ascent of Mount Phousi, climbing its steps to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the ancient royal capital at sunset.
In the evening, you may stroll through the night market, where local crafts such as handwoven silks, wood carvings, silk products and natural goods, including spices, are on display.

DAY 7: LUANG PRABANG

Set out on a boat journey along the Mekong River to the famous Pak Ou Caves, located beneath a dramatic karst cliff around 25 km from Luang Prabang. The lower cave houses an impressive collection of Buddha statues set against the river backdrop, while the upper cave, reached after a short walk, is surrounded by dense vegetation. Together, they showcase hundreds of Buddha figures of various sizes and eras, reflecting the deep-rooted Buddhist devotion of the Lao people.
On the return journey, stop at the traditional craft villages of Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xieng Lek, renowned for silk weaving and Saa paper making. Observe artisans at work and learn about their ancestral techniques.
In the afternoon, cross the Mekong River to reach the village of Ban Chiang. A walk along forest trails beside the river leads to the rarely visited temples of Wat Chomphet and Wat Longkhoun, hidden among the trees.
Continue to the spectacular Kuang Si Falls, where turquoise pools cascade through lush jungle scenery. Enjoy time to admire the falls, swim in the natural pools, and visit the Asiatic Bear Rescue Center, home to more than 20 rescued black bears.
On the way back to Luang Prabang, stop at a community rice farm for an immersive agricultural experience. Meet local farmers and discover the stages of rice cultivation, traditional tools and daily activities, from seed selection and planting to ploughing with water buffalo and harvesting. The excursion concludes with a tasting of sweet and savoury rice-based snacks, enjoyed while taking in panoramic views of mountains and rice paddies from a traditional rice house.
DAY 8: LUANG PRABANG → SIEM REAP
Enjoy free time until your transfer with your driver to Luang Prabang Airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, proceed through customs and baggage claim before meeting your driver for the transfer to your hotel.
The rest of the day is free, allowing you to begin discovering Siem Reap at your own pace.

DAY 9: SIEM REAP
Depart for a full day dedicated to exploring the temples of Angkor.
Begin with Angkor Thom, the former royal capital of the Khmer Empire. Discover the iconic Bayon Temple, famous for its enigmatic stone faces of King Jayavarman VII, gazing in all directions. Continue to the Terrace of the Elephants, once used for royal ceremonies, and the Terrace of the Leper King, richly decorated with carvings along a narrow passageway leading towards the Baphuon complex.
Continue to Ta Prohm, often referred to as the “Tomb Raider” temple. Here, immense fig trees entwined with ancient stone walls create a powerful and mysterious atmosphere, evoking the image of a forgotten city reclaimed by nature.
Finally, visit Angkor Wat, the crowning masterpiece of Khmer architecture. Admire the sheer scale of the temple and its extraordinary bas-reliefs, which recount the history and prosperity of the Khmer Empire between the 9th and 13th centuries. Walk through its galleries and observe the small chapels still used for worship today.

Optional excursion (at additional cost): The lost temples of Angkor - Banteay Srei & Beng Mealea
(Full day – approx. 8:30 am to 5:30 pm)
Begin with Banteay Srei, known as the “Citadel of Women”. Built in the 10th century and dedicated to Shiva, it is renowned for its finely carved red sandstone reliefs, among the best preserved in the Angkor region.
In the afternoon, continue through the countryside to Beng Mealea, a largely unrestored temple where vegetation and stone remain intertwined. Part Hindu, part Buddhist, this jungle temple offers a striking and atmospheric experience, far from the main tourist paths.
Optional excursion (at additional cost): Discover the Siem Reap Countryside by Vespa
(Half day – approx. 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, private excursion – minimum 2 people)
Ride through the Cambodian countryside by Vespa and discover rural life beyond the temples. Visit APOPO, the organisation that trains rats to clear landmines from affected areas. Continue along village paths to gain insight into traditional Khmer culture.
Visit a local pagoda and receive a blessing from the monks, stroll through villages to meet local residents, visit a family of weavers and taste roasted sticky rice. The experience concludes in a family home surrounded by rice fields, where you will enjoy a fresh coconut or a local beer.
DAY 12: SIEM REAP - DEPARTURE
After breakfast, enjoy free time until your transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your departure flight (unguided).

You may choose to unwind at the hotel, stroll through the Old Town, or enjoy the beaches of An Bang or Cua Dai, located around 4 km from the city centre.

In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour of Hoi An Old Town, with its narrow streets, the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, local markets, art galleries and tailor shops.

DAY 15: HOI AN → DA NANG → HANOI
After breakfast, transfer to Da Nang Airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, meet your guide and set out on a city tour.
Visit the Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays), followed by the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. Continue with a walk through the Old Quarter, known for its 36 traditional streets. Taste the famous egg coffee, then stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple.

DAY 16: HANOI → HA LONG BAY
After breakfast, depart by shared bus to Ha Long Bay (unguided). Upon arrival, board your cruise ship, enjoy a welcome drink and check into your cabin.
Lunch is served on board as the boat sails among the limestone formations of the bay. The afternoon is dedicated to discovering the landscapes and rock formations.
Dinner is served on board. Night fishing is available.
