  • With plenty of opportunity to explore these cities, feast on fabulous cuisine and unearth fascinating history as you are guided through these enchanting, historic destinations.
  • Or members will stay in a hand-picked hotel in Helsinki, before boarding a ferry to take in the sights of St Petersburg, Tallinn & Stockholm!

Your Destinations

Helsinki

Helsinki is an intriguing mixture: a neo-classical marvel with an art nouveau quarter interspersed with Alvar Aalto's spectacular modern architecture and set on a peninsula jutting out into the Baltic. Smart pavement cafés on Esplanaden; gourmet restaurants at a fraction of London prices; concerts and ballet at Finlandia Hall; boat trips and great value shopping particularly for iconic design brands.

St Petersburg

Often described as the Venice of the North, St Petersburg is a city defined by water. The mighty Neva River empties into the Gulf of Finland near the Fortress of Peter & Paul – the final resting place of the Tsars – and canals snake through the backstreets, passing stately townhouses. Explore this enchanting city and discover the many hidden treasures!

Tallinn

The medieval centre of Tallinn is said to be the most beautiful of all the Baltic countries. There is a reason for it being one of the most popular destinations in north Europe! The most attractive places for tourists in the lower part of the Old Town are St. Nikolas Church, situated at the bottom of the Cathedral Hill, the Holy Ghost Church right in the centre and the beautiful St. Olav’s church in the north. The historic Old Town was declared the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Stockholm

Stockholm’s good looks and fashion sense could almost be intimidating. But this city is an accessible beauty, as easy to explore as it is to love. Though spread across 14 islands, connected by 57 bridges, it is compact and walkable. Each neighbourhood has a distinct character, yet they’re so close together you can easily spend time in several areas. In each, you'll find trend-setting design, inventive cuisine, unbeatable museums, great shopping, pretty parks and loads of atmosphere.

Day 1: Helsinki
Welcome to Finland! Your journey begins in beautiful Helsinki. See Senaatintori, the Senate square’s, and its magnificent architectural ensemble. Right around the corner near the harbour, you will find the Kauppatori, the picturesque market square, characterised by an abundance of flowers, fruits and busy traders. Overnight in 4* Hotel.

Day 3: Saint Petersburg (9am - 7pm)
First stopover: Russia! St. Petersburg, a baroque and neoclassical jewel, that will let you see the majesty of the capital of the Tsars with its grand architecture. Enjoy an included tour of 3 hours to learn more about this particular culture, then take your time to discover it at your own pace. Between sumptuous palaces, baroque churches, parks and masterpieces at the Hermitage ... it's a magical stop! Night on board.

Note: guests are usually required to obtain a visa to enter Russia, but for arrivals by boat and with the City Bus to St Petersburg tour (included) this is not necessary. See more in Russia Travel Advice on page 2.
Day 4: Tallinn (9am - 6.30pm)
Tallinn represents a medieval enclave perched on top of a hill looking overlooking the Baltics. Among the remains of the medieval battlements and towers, dominated by the simple arrows of Protestant churches, the cobbled and narrow streets lead through the city until the old square animated by its restaurants, shops, the passing of the little blue train and horse-drawn carriages.

Also take the chance to explore the old town. The old town is located in the heart of Tallinn. Divided in two very distinctive parts: Toompea hill and The lower town, centered on Raekoja plats (the Town Hall Square) is still surrounded by a 2.5km fortified wall. Through the itinerary, you will admire the Orthodox Cathedral Alexander Nevsky and the Toompea castle (home to the Estonian Parliament), The City Hall Square, the house of the Brotherhood of Blackheads, St Olaf and Niguliste churches. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the dock for your short cruise to Helsinki. Overnight on board.
Day 5: Stockholm (9.30am - 5.30pm)
Enjoy a tantalising glimpse of the Stockholm archipelago: a city surrounded by almost 30 000 small islands.

Upon arrival you will be free to to explore. Take a walk along the streets and explore the city of the royal family, and the main Drottninggatan - Queen Street, with many shops, bars and cafes. Stockholm is generally referred to as Beauty on Water, or Venice of the North which is understandable, as the city is built upon 14 islands. It is surrounded by Lake Mälaren, and by the Baltic Sea.  Her grand public buildings, palaces, rich cultural history and museums tell her 700 year-old history beautifully. Visit the Gamla Stan (Old town), where you will be charmed by cobblestone streets, crooked but beautifully preserved buildings, The Royal Palace, gothic churches and excellent cafés, bars, restaurants and Swedish design-ware shops. Overnight on board.

Day 6 or 7: Helsinki - Return Flight
