The first round of the championship and the first real test for the 20 drivers on the grid and their teams. After a 2022 season largely dominated by Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing, the Bahrain Formula 1 Grand Prix returns once again to challenge the Dutch driver and the Austrian firm.
The Sakhir International Circuit is located in the heart of the desert in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. It is built around a fast and technical layout, composed of 15 corners and 3 DRS zones, portions favorable to overtaking.
The main straight of the 1km circuit allows drivers to reach speeds of 330km/h in the Bahraini night... With a new world championship title to his name, Max Verstappen will arrive with confidence and will try to win for the first time in the inaugural race of the new season. He and his team will have their work cut out for them against the Ferrari drivers, who will be trying to restore the Scuderia's reputation after a disappointing 2022 season. Finally, Mercedes and its British drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will also have to be wary, as they try to forget a failed 2022 season and put the Silver Arrows back on the top step of the ranking.
One thing is certain, the battle will be intense once again during this Bahrain Grand Prix!
