Osaka
Begin your journey in the vibrant city of Osaka.

Nara
In Nara, Japan's first capital, you'll be greeted by the local deer. Visit Kofuku-ji temple and its lush pagoda, as well as Todai-ji, the city's must-see temple with its imposing Buddha statue. Continue on to the Kasuga-taisha sanctuary along a magical path lined with hundreds of stone lanterns. If you still have the energy, climb Wakasuka Mountain for a magnificent view of the region. Or wander through the old quarter of Nara-machi to admire the beautiful wooden houses that take you back to the Edo period.

- You'll explore the historic centre with its many fascinating monuments, including a Buddhist pyramid with similarities to Mayan temples.
- Visit the home of a local merchant, enjoy an extraordinary panoramic view of the city, and discover Nara Park with its famous inhabitants: the deer, considered to be divine messengers in Japan.
- You'll also discover the spiritual side of Japan at the Kasuga Taisha sanctuary and Todaiji temple, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Tokyo
Upon arrival in Tokyo, head to your hotel and begin your Tokyo adventure. Discover all of the main attractions of the capital. Tokyo is more than a city, it is a fascinating juxtaposition of heterogeneous neighbourhoods, skyscrapers, lights, temples and traditional shrines.

Himeji (12 and 14 night tours only) is a true jewel of the Land of the Rising Sun. Admire the temples and traditional castles, such as the White Heron Castle, or the lush, carefully tended gardens of this magnificent piece of land.

Hiroshima (for 14-night stays)
As a symbol of the strength and perseverance of all the Japanese people, Hiroshima (only for 14-night tours) was completely rebuilt after the atomic bomb, which completely destroyed it. Despite this, there are still symbolic remnants of what happened, such as the Genbaku Dome building.
The must-sees:
- Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum
- Peace monuments (the dome, the memorial to young Sadako Sasaki, one of the many victims of radiation)
- The famous Hiroshima castle
- Itsukushima-jinja shrine and its world-famous giant torii, much photographed
