Day 3: Excursion to the 'Chinese Venice' and Suzhou Gardens
Discover Suzhou, a city renowned for the manufacture of sumptuous silks and for its splendid gardens, considered to be the residence of the mandarins and scholars of Imperial China.
Your itinerary:
- In the morning, transfer with your guide to Suzhou, where you will visit the Garden of the Master of Nets, one of the jewels in the crown of ornamental garden design in the purest regional tradition.
- Lunch at a local restaurant in Suzhou, then a stroll along Pingjiang Street, Suzhou's old town.
- Continue on to discover the ancient village of Tongli, full of bridges, canals and traditional buildings. Vivid traces of an extremely ancient history remain in this two-faceted water village.
- On the one hand, strollers will discover streets lined with small shops, while on the other, a trip on the canals in a small wooden boat offers a window onto the past and the serenity of the place.

Day 8: Optional Xi'an discovery excursion
On this excursion, you'll visit the Xi'an city walls, watch a local puppet show and learn Chinese calligraphy. A real cultural immersion is guaranteed...
- In the morning, visit a morning park near the Xi'an Ramparts, meet the locals who play sports in the park, then climb the Ramparts and take a walk (possibility of visiting by bike, to be paid for on the spot, 45RMB per person).
- Visit the former residence of the Gao family, with a short puppet show and the local opera, called Qinqiang.
- Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.
- Visit the Great Wild Goose Pagoda and enjoy an introduction to Chinese calligraphy.
- Meander through the chic and lively districts around the pagoda.
- In the evening, enjoy a Tang dynasty song and dance show, complete with a ravioli banquet.

Day 12: Optional Beijing discovery excursion
Don't miss out on any of the must-sees in the Chinese capital thanks to this day trip, which will take you to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
- In the morning, meet your guide at the hotel and visit Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, a perfect example of the architectural classicism of the Ming dynasty.
