Welcome to the Suzuka Circuit

In the heart of the land of the Rising Sun lies this thrilling circuit named the Circuit of Suzuka, built in 1962 and located around 50 kilometres from Nagoya, Japan's third-largest city.

With its very technical 5.807 kilometres18 corners and a 1500-metre straight, Suzuka is a temple of speed, offering a demanding terrain but it nonetheless remains one of the favourite circuits for drivers and spectators alike.

The hairpin bends, fast chicanes and series of S-curves demand surgical precision and total control. Overtaking here is often spectacular, with epic battles taking place right up to the last lap.

It is in this intense environment that champions distinguish themselves. In fact, it was at Suzuka that Ayrton Senna won his three titles in 1988, 1990 and 1991. In 2022, Max Verstappen was crowned world champion during the Japanese Grand Prix at the end of a Dantesque race, shortened to 29 laps and interrupted on lap 3 for two hours.

The cause? The rain. This legendary circuit is also famous for its unpredictable weather conditions. Rain can turn the track into a real trap, adding an element of surprise and strategy.

Who will emerge victorious from this 18th stage of the 2023 version of the Formula 1 World Championship? Will Max Verstappen win this race again? Will Charles Leclerc, who finished third in 2022, get his revenge by winning? Will Fernando Alonso, who has been in fine form this season, take the spoils? The answer will be on 24 September 2023 in an electric atmosphere.

Important: Transfers to and from the circuit are not included. Here are some recommendations to facilitate your access to the Suzuka circuit:

- Take the Kintetsu Nagoya line from Nagoya station to Shiroko station (about 50 minutes.)
- Take the shuttle bus from Shiroko station to Suzuka (cost is around 410 yen, and the duration is approx. 20 minutes.) Buses leave every 20 minutes.
- You can also take a taxi.
