Your destinations —
Ubud
When you think of Bali, images of Ubud's towering temples and lush, green rice terraces are often dreamt up. While the centre of Ubud's town is busy with tourists, traditional craft shops and cultural landmarks, the real draw of Ubud lies in its tranquil outskirts, which are rich in hypnotic and stunningly scenic natural beauty.
As the heartland of the island, Ubud is ideal for both those who want a total escape from their daily life, and those who wish to uncover the ancient secrets of Balinese culture.
Undoubtedly, a must-see spot on any tourist's list is the Ubud Monkey Forest, where over 700 long-tailed macaques share their spiritual home with daily visitors. In addition to the lively residents, the forest boasts 186 different species of tree and several sacred temples.
Another Ubud highlight is the Tegallalang Rice Terrace, a prime photo-stop that showcases some of the most beautiful terraced fields in all of Southeast Asia.
We highly recommend heading here to enjoy the absolute best of Bali's nature - it also promises a cool, breezy atmosphere which is more than welcome following a break at the beach.
Nusa Lembongan
As a small island off the southeast coast of Bali, Nusa Lembongan is fast becoming one of the main island's most popular attractions, given its ability to remove guests from the hassle and hectic pace of everyday life. The main benefits and attractions of the island include surfing, diving and snorkelling, especially given that the stunning surrounding water is some of the clearest you will find across the world.
Seminyak
A fashionable tourist resort on the South West Coast of Bali, Seminyak is famed for its chic sunset-view bars and world-class gourmet restaurants which line the shore.
The bohemian, relaxed atmosphere is cemented by the eclectic mix of chic boutiques, galleries and cafes on offer.
Seminyak is also a great base for exploring some of Bali’s most famous water temples - Uluwatu Temple in the south and Tanah Lot Temple to the north.
