Your Itinerary In Detail —
Day 1 & 2: Montreal
Arrival at the airport and pick up of the car rental.
Montreal is the second largest French-speaking city after Paris: a city of contrasts with its historic Old Port and modern downtown. Explore the historic district of Old Montreal, called Ville Marie by the first settlers, the most charming part of the city. You will have the opportunity to visit the famous Place Jacques Cartier and the magnificent City Hall.
Continue to the city centre and don't miss the Place Ville Marie observatory with its unique view of the city, 185 metres above the ground, and another of the city's special features: an underground network of cafés, restaurants and shops.
Two other districts are particularly recommended: the Latin Quarter and Mont Royal, with its Basilica of Saint Joseph's Oratory and its park, a magnificent 200-hectare urban green space. If you still have time, we recommend a visit to the Olympic Park, where you can enjoy a tour of the botanical garden, the Biodome, the Olympic Stadium or the Insectarium.
Day 3 & 4: Quebec City
Quebec City is the capital of the province of Quebec, and the oldest city in Canada. Behind its high stone walls, admire the star-shaped citadel and impressive fortifications. Stop at the Parliament before exploring the Old Port, Place Royale and Petit Champlain.
A lunch or dinner at a traditional sugar shack is highly recommended. You will be introduced to the traditional art of maple syrup making, before enjoying a memorable meal!
Don't miss a visit to the impressive Montmorency Falls, a natural wonder that is higher than Niagara Falls. If you're not afraid of heights, you can even zip-line across the falls for a great souvenir.
Day 5 & 6: Lac Saint Jean
Head to Jacques Cartier National Park. The park is home to a beautiful glacial valley, the Jacques-Cartier Valley, a spectacular channel some 600 metres deep through which one of Quebec's most beautiful rivers winds.
It is a true paradise for nature lovers where you can observe wildlife: moose, caribou, deer, wolves, foxes, river otters and black bears. We recommend a trip in a traditional rabaska canoe.
Then, explore the magnificent Saguenay Fjord National Park, a natural wonder with 100 kilometres of hiking trails to admire this preserved region. If you want to continue exploring the wildlife, the Zoo sauvage de St-Félicien will fulfill your expectations. With a 4.5 km pedestrian section, 90 species and 1000 animals, it is one of the largest zoos in Canada.
Go back in time by visiting the historic village of Val Jalbert. A true open-air museum, Val Jalbert is a reconstruction of a village from the 1920s. It's a unique opportunity to experience life in the last century through an exciting tour, punctuated by immersive live shows.
Day 7 & 8: Mauricie
La Mauricie National Park is a wilderness area located in one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world, the southern Laurentians, on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River.
With 150 lakes and 536 km² of forests inhabited by wild animals, it is an exceptional preserved area. Many activities are available: kayaking, canoeing, swimming, hiking, etc. We highly recommend a guided tour with a professional guide to enjoy the observation of black bears in their natural habitat or a seaplane tour to discover the natural beauty of the park from the air.
You can also visit Trois-Rivières. Founded in 1634, it is the second oldest city in North America.
Day 9: Ottawa
If you want to learn more about Canada's wildlife, make a stop at Omega Park.
Continue on to Ottawa, the capital of Canada. Enjoy a visit to the Rideau Canal and the government buildings on Parliament Hill. Many other attractions are recommended: The Byward Market, Embassy Row, Gatineau Park.
You can learn more about Canada at the Canadian Museum of History to discover collections that shed light on the country's history and the cultural diversity of its people.
Day 10: Thousand Islands
Today you will visit a unique natural wonder, the Thousand Islands region. This is a group of over 1,800 islands in the St. Lawrence River, straddling the border between the United States and Canada.
The islands vary in size from over 100 km2 to tiny parcels of land occupied by a single small cabin. There are elaborate island mansions, such as the German-style Boldt Castle on Heart Island and Singer Castle on Dark Island, with its Gothic windows and secret passages.
We highly recommend embarking on a cruise.
Day 11 & 12: Toronto
Visit Toronto's most iconic landmark: the CN Tower, the tallest tower in the Western Hemisphere, considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world. Continue with a visit to Chinatown, Kensington Market and its bohemian atmosphere, and the Eaton Centre with Yonge/Dundas Square, one of Canada's busiest and most vibrant intersections.
For the shopping enthusiast, stroll down Bloor Street, Toronto's and Canada's most famous shopping district, and for the culture buff, visit the Distillery District, considered Canada's premier arts, culture and entertainment destination. The 19th century Victorian industrial buildings have been restored and are now home to unique shops, restaurants and galleries.
We highly recommend a trip to Niagara Falls to experience a breathtaking Seven Wonders of the World site. For an even more awe-inspiring experience, take a cruise to get up close and personal with the Falls.
Day 13: Departure from Toronto
End of the tour and return* of the rental car to the airport.
*Deposit fee to be paid at the counter when you return your car (60 CAD for all vehicles except the RAV4 which is 171 CAD).

Your Destinations —
Montreal
Regarded as Canada’s cultural capital, Montréal is a unique island-city on the St Lawrence River, and the perfect place for big-city thrills mixed with charming attractions. For a taste of its old-world French atmosphere, visit the cobbled streets of Old Montréal, admiring Notre Dame Basilica and the charming Place Jacques-Cartier, which feels like it’s been plucked straight from a European town.
To escape the bustling city, take a stroll through Mount Royal Park, set atop the mountain after which the city is named. After climbing to the top, you can admire fantastic views over the city’s skyscrapers and monuments below, before settling down in a restaurant to savour some authentic Montreal cuisine. Don’t miss French-inspired options like the Breton pastry kouign amann, or get a taste for Montreal’s Haitian population by trying griot - a marinated pork shoulder that tastes like it’s straight from the Caribbean isles.
While foodies will be happy in this vibrant city, there are also plenty of sights to tempt culture-vultures. Head to the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts to explore Canadian art or wander the tranquil Montréal Botanical Garden, while if you’re ready for a day of thrills, La Ronde is an extensive theme park on nearby St. Helen’s Island.
Quebec
Québec truly feels like a country within a country, a distinct place of francophone linguistic and cultural identity within greater Canada. Québec's embrace of terroir, its language, and its passion for everything from winter snow to wine to gastronomy, is something else that encompasses both distinctly North American and European identities.
Old Québec, a UNESCO World Heritage treasure, is walkable and safe. Stroll the cobblestone streets of the only fortified city north of Mexico and explore its gorgeous outdoors nearby.
Its history, friendly vibe and myriad attractions make it a standout travel destination throughout the year.
Toronto
Toronto is Canada's largest city, with more restaurants and live theatres than anywhere else in the country. From the famous CN Tower to the Harbourfront Centre with its lakeside shopping and dining, to the new fashionable Distillery District, Toronto is deservedly the most popular gateway to Canada.
For first-time visitors, the best place to get a feel for the city is by making a visit to the CN Tower, an unmissable attraction in Downtown where you can admire the city streets and Lake Ontario from 553m high! For cultural sights closer to the ground, check out the Royal Ontario Museum or the Art Gallery of Ontario. At the end of a long day, fill up with a classic plate of poutine, an iconic Canadian dish of fries, gravy, and cheese curds - perfect on a cold winter day in the city.
To explore a unique city attraction, head to Casa Loma, a charming Gothic Revival mansion in the heart of the city, while travellers looking to do some shopping during their stay have come to the right place, as the city offers a fantastic mix of high-end designers and boutique stores. As the sun sets, watch the city come to life at the 13-acre Distillery District, where you’ll find an array of restaurants and cafes boasting delicious cuisine and refreshing drinks for the perfect evening.
