The Colours of the South (excursion included) —
Your day trip will begin at Trou-Aux-Cerfs, a dormant volcanic crater offering a unique 360° panoramic view. Continue to Les Voiliers de l'Océan, where you can watch local artisans craft meticulous replicas of authentic 18th-century sailing ships. Take a walk inland through the forest to Ganga Talao, a lake sacred to Mauritian Hindus in Plaine Champagne.
Further along the winding road to the Black River Gorge National Park, you will reach a local restaurant with a breathtaking view of the coastline. Continuing through the pineapple and sugar cane fields, you will discover Chamarel, its magnificent waterfall and its unique seven-coloured landscape. On the way back, you will come across the emblematic Morne mountain and the Ile aux Bénitiers.
Aquarelle Catamaran (excursion included) —
Embark on a catamaran excursion on the West Coast for a chance to spot dolphins in the wild and go snorkelling in the aqua-blue waters. Enjoy lunch on board before seeing the crystal rock at Ile aux Bénitiers.
Exotic North —
This excursion through the north of the island will take you to discover several sites. You'll discover Cap Malheureux, a small village in the extreme north of the island, dominated by a pretty red-roofed church and offering a splendid view of Gunner's Quoin and the northern islands. Your next stop is the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens, home to the Samadhi funerary shrine of Sir Seewoosagar Ramgoolam, the father of the Mauritian nation. Here you can see more than 500 rare exotic plants, including giant water lilies and Talipot palms that only flower every 60 years...
Then enjoy a traditional lunch at L'aventure du Sucre, set in an authentic sugar factory that traces the history of sugar cane on the island. In the afternoon, stop off at the Blue Penny Museum, where you can admire the famous 1847 postage stamps, as well as the local market in Port Louis to get a taste of Mauritian life.
