With a long history that dates back to around 1250BC, China is also full of fascinating artefacts, making it a thrilling destination with a little something for everyone.
On this spectacular journey, discover the many highlights of China, including the lesser-known Avatar Hallelujah Mountain located in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. This sensational and fairy-tale like area was appointed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 and boasts pillaring sandstone rock formations that rise through the luscious green valley. This is somewhere that should not be missed.

Day 2: Arrival in Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, you'll be met by a guide and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy free time and discover the culinary delights of China with dinner at your own leisure. Overnight stay at your hotel in Beijing.
Day 3: Beijing (Breakfast & Lunch included)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Today you will take a Didi car, which means Chinese “Uber”, to the Temple of Heaven, one of the most visited monuments of Beijing. This magnificent building with its triple blue glazed tile roof, is the symbol of the relationship between the world of humans and that of the divine. In addition to the Hall of Prayers for the Abundant Harvests, visit the Altar of Circular Tertre and the Echo Wall. In the park of the temple, the locals enjoy a number of leisure activities (songs, dances, chess, calligraphy on earth, etc.). Make sure not to miss the 'corner of the love', where elderly parents exchange the information of their single children to find love.
Indulge in lunch in a local restaurant, then experience the Beijing metro from the Temple of Heaven to Tiananmen Square. Afterwards, visit the Forbidden City, a perfect example of the architectural classicism of the Ming Dynasty. Climb the Coal Hill to have a view of the royal palace. Back to your hotel by metro or by Didi car. Diner by your own. Overnight at your hotel.
Your morning will start with breakfast at your hotel. Take a trip to the lesser visited section of the Great Wall - Mutianyu, and enjoy a morning on this famous site located 80km north of the city. Ascent and descent on foot (with the possibility to take a cable car payable locally). Enjoy lunch on the spot. Visit a cloisonné workshop where you will discover the ancient technique of decorating metalwork objects. Back in town, catch a glimpse of the Olympic sites: the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube. Dinner is at your own leisure. Overnight at your hotel for the night.
Day 5: Beijing - Xi’an (Rapid train, 5 hours 30 minutes - Breakfast included)
Breakfast at your hotel. Take time at leisure in the morning and then meet your guide in the hotel lobby to be transferred by Didi car to the train station. Here, you will take your fast train to Xi’an. Upon arrival, meet your guide & take a transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Walk in the Muslim quarter, and visit the Great Mosque, whose architecture is in Chinese style, in a beautiful square courtyard. Lunch of the local specialty, Roujiamo, Xi'an kebab and Xi'an noodles. Then transfer to the Great Terracotta Excavation, composed of 6,000 horsemen and infantrymen. In the 3 pits of the site, you can admire thousands of life-size statues, which seem fixed in time and which guard the tomb of the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. Exhibition halls also offer visitors a beautiful collection of precious objects including a remarkable bronze wagon. Lunch on site at a local restaurant. Return to Xi'an City and visit a jade workshop. You will find good restaurants around your hotel, very well located in the center of the city. Overnight at your hotel Grand Dynasty Culture Hotel 4*. Day 7: Xi'an (Breakfast & Lunch included)
Breakfast at your hotel. Morning visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, dated from Tang Dyansty, following a Chinese calligraphy class, visit the City Wall of Ming Dynasty, as the symbol of the old-line city, the City Wall is the extant most well-preserved and intact part of the Chinese ancient city walls. It is also the largest and most intact ancient city wall structures in the world. Originally built in the Ming Dynasty(1368-16440), it was function for military fortification. You can try to cycle on the city wall, to be paid on spot. Lunch in a local restaurant, in the afternoon, visit the famous Shaanxi Historical Museum, one of a handful of the world's great history museums. It houses cultural relics from the following dynasties. There are 3 Basic Exhibition Halls and some theme exhibition halls. Dinner by your own. Overnight at your hotel.
Breakfast at your hotel. Time at leisure until the transfer to the airport, flight to Zhangjiajie in the early afternoon(Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) or at night(Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday). By arrival, meet your English speaking guide and transfer to your hotel.
Day 9: Zhangjiajie (Breakfast & Lunch included)
After breakfast go up to Yuanjiajie by Bailong Elevator, for sightseeing of back garden, Mihun Stage, the First Bridge in the world and Hallelujah Mountains. Then travel by eco-car to Emperor Mountain scenic area, sightseeing for Helong Park, fairy maiden present flowers etc and comedown by cable car. Continue bus to visit Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, it is the landform Museum of Zhangjiajie. Lunch is included but dinner on your own.
After breakfast, discover the scenic slideway - the longest glass bridge, spanning over two cliffs in the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Stretching 430 metres long and 6 metres wide, hover over a 300 metres vertical drop on this impressive attraction. Later in the evening, take a transfer to the airport and fly to Shanghai. Lunch is included today but dinner is at your own leisure. You will arrive in Shanghai in the middle night, and will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 11 : Shanghai (Breakfast included)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Today you have the day to yourselves to plan what you wish to see in Shanghai. Uncover this diverse city which combines ancient customs and a bustling cosmopolitan atmosphere at your own leisure. Wander through the old town of Shanghai and uncover its winding alleyways and 16th Century buildings. See the futuristic Lujiazui district and climb to the 100th floor of the International Financial Center to enjoy panoramic views of Shanghai. End the day with a walk through the former French Concession including the Xintiandi district and the Fuxing Park. This is a day to explore freely and meals are at your own leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Shanghai.
Day 12: Shanghai-Departure (Breakfast included)
Have your last breakfast in China and enjoy time at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight home.
