Your Itinerary in Detail —
Day 1-3
Day 1: Welcome to Mindelo, a superb natural bay known for the influence of its port and for its cultural richness. Being the city of birth and heart of Cesaria Evora, it has become the cradle of music that has crossed borders and eras.
Day 2: Enjoy a guided tour of the old town, discovering the magnificent beaches and volcanic landscapes. On foot, you stroll through this cultural capital, before going up to Monte Verde to admire the panoramic view. You continue your explorations towards Salamansa and its kitesurfing beach, then Baía das Gatas, famous for its music festival and its natural pools. You also have free time to swim there! Don't forget to pass by Praia Grande, an incredible white sand beach, then by Calhau and its extinct volcanoes, from where you can observe the island of Santa Luzia.
Day 3: Enjoy this day at your own pace! Visit the old fort to get a view of both sides of Mindelo, from the beach in the north, through the marina, to the old centre in the south. Your cultural visits will be numerous between the Palacio do Povo, the town hall or the replica of the Tower of Belem.
The more adventurous can choose, as an option with a supplement, a snorkelling excursion with turtles!
Day 4-7
Day 4: Once you arrive in Santo Antão, enjoy an excursion to discover the main attractions of the island by taking the famous road of Corda. You pass by Água das Caldeiras, Ribeira Grande, Ponta de Sol and, of course, Paúl. A fabulous contrast between the aridity of the south side of the island and the forest in the heights, with lush vegetation in the north.
Day 5: Take advantage of a free day to visit this island, one of the most mountainous in Cape Verde. You will be surprised by the contrast between its reliefs and the grandiose landscapes available to you!
You can, as an option with a supplement, choose the hike in the Paul Valley, considered the greenest and most luxuriant in the country.
Day 6: Return to São Vicente for the end of your tour. This time you discover the southwestern part of the island, through volcanic landscapes, pozzolan fields where you can see beautiful isolated villages. Prepare to see unusual landscapes such as the village of Lagedos, known for its sustainable tourism. Admire these typical landscapes, marked by the contrasting colour of the black volcanic rock.
Day 7: Today, relax or explore, do whatever you fancy! You can opt (with supplement) to go hiking in the crater of the Calhau volcano.
Day 8: Your trip has come to an end, it's time to head to the airport for your return flight!

If you've chosen one of the longer tours, your last day will be spent in a wonderful setting. The island of Sal is the oldest of the archipelago, formed 50 million years ago. The beauty of its landscapes between white sand beaches and turquoise waters will amaze you. São Vicente - Snorkeling with turtles
Experience an unforgettable dive on the beach of São Pedro. Hop on a fishing boat and a few feet from the sand you can swim with adult sea turtles. You can feed them and enjoy the wonders of this sea, using the snorkelling equipment.
São Vicente - Hike Calhau Volcano
With this hike, you will discover another type of landscape of São Vicente: through the crater of the Calhau volcano, now extinct. Start this 3h hike, on the basalt rock at the edge of the ocean. Despite the wave activity and the growing vegetation, you will still be able to clearly distinguish the shape of the lava flows.
Santo Antão - Hike Paul Valley
With this hike, will discover the exotic route of the Paúl Valley, the garden of Cabo Verde, considered the greenest and most luxuriant valley in the country.
The path goes from chalet to chalet, crossing vegetable crops (cabbages, tomatoes, corn, yams, beans, etc.) and tropical fruits or cereals (banana, guava, sugar cane, coffee, etc.), combining meeting with the inhabitants, agriculture and botany. This is an opportunity to discover local rural life: walk through mule tracks, built by man at the foot of "levadas" (irrigation canals) and terraced crops.
