Your itinerary in detail

Day 1-3

Day 1: Hanoi is the capital and one of the largest cities in Vietnam, known for its rich history, cultural heritage, and bustling urban life. Located in the northern part of the country, Hanoi boasts a blend of traditional and modern influences, with its ancient temples, colonial-era architecture, and vibrant street markets coexisting alongside contemporary developments, making it a captivating destination for travellers from around the world.

Day 2: After breakfast at the hotel, visit the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh (outside), the founder of the nation, and affectionately known to the Vietnamese as "Uncle Ho". Visit the One Pillar Pagoda, built in 1049 of wood on a single stone pillar, designed to resemble a lotus flower, a symbol of purity, then the Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi's oldest pagoda, located at Western Lake. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university. Walk through the narrow streets of the old quarter, known for its "36 streets with 36 products". During your walk, you can try all the Vietnamese specialities such as banh cuon (the traditional Vietnamese rice cake) or banh mi (the famous Vietnamese sandwich). Then stop off at the "bia hoi" (local beer) intersection near Ta Hien street and sample the Vietnamese beer that is so popular with locals and travellers alike. Another must-try is pho (Vietnamese noodle soup); you'll reach a pho restaurant where you can choose between pho noodle soup or pho tron (pho mixed with chicken without soup). Then head along Hoan Kiem Lake before enjoying a tasty dessert at a Vietnamese ice cream parlour, a popular weekend spot for locals to enjoy the best ice creams with their families.

Your destinations

Phu Quoc

Lined with white sandy beaches and vast stretches still shrouded in the dense tropical jungle, Phu Quoc has quickly transformed from a sleepy island to a must-see for Western ex-pats and sun-seeking tourists. Beyond the resorts lining Long Beach, the rapid development taking place on the east coast, and the prominent resorts of Sao Beach, there is still plenty of room for exploration and escape from the waters. Dive the coral reefs, kayak the bays, devour the miles of back roads on a motorcycle, or simply relax on the beach, followed by a massage and a fresh fish dinner - tropical bliss!

Phu Quoc is not really part of the Mekong Delta and its rice production; its most famous, and most valuable, crop is black pepper. However, the inhabitants of this island have traditionally made their living from the sea, and it's renowned throughout Vietnam for the production of a high-quality fish sauce: nuoc mam.

Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is the largest and most vibrant city in Vietnam. It's renowned for its dynamic energy, impressive skyscrapers, historical landmarks like the War Remnants Museum and Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, and a rich culinary scene. The city serves as a bustling economic and cultural hub in Southeast Asia, attracting visitors with its blend of modernity and historical charm.
