Your Itinerary & Destinations —
Maldives Dream 7 Night Cruise Itinerary
Embark at Hulhumale harbour at 2pm. Sail for 45 minutes to reach Banana Reef (north Malé Atoll) – a magnificent site for snorkelling where you can see beautiful manta ray. Heading on to South Malé Atoll. After 1h30 sailing, moor off Gulhi Island.
Day 2 - Ulhi Island / Sand Bar (South Male Atoll - Kaau) / Omadhoo Island (South Ari Atoll)
Visit Ulhi island and its peaceful fishing village. Lunch at Sand Bar moorings, a magnificent sandbank as fine as talc. After 1h30 sailing you step into heaven: swim, snorkel or go sea-kayaking. Following a 3 hour sailing to Ari Atoll, moor offshore at Omadhoo Island.
Day 3 - Omadhoo Island / Meerufenfushi (South Ari Atoll)
Visit Omadhoo Island and delightful fishing village, with its characteristic tiny white and green houses, ornamented with lush gardens in which they grow bread fruit and mango trees. Walk through a small shaded forest for 10 minutes and reach a splendid white sandy beach where you can swim, sea kayak and snorkel.
On your return, take the pulse of local life, having a drink and savouring delicious Samossas at a small café by the harbour. After lunch, 1h30 sailing toward Meerufenfushi, a jewel, one of the most beautiful islands of the Maldives. Sheltered by a lagoon, there's a natural swimming pool, edging a heavenly beach lined with beautiful palm trees providing shade. Dinner will be a BBQ on this desert island beach.
Day 4 - Meerufenfushi / Raiga Dhigghiri (South Ari Atoll)
The morning is dedicated to relaxation, swimming, sea kayaking and/or snorkelling. After lunch, sail for 45 minutes toward Raiga Dhigghiri, a private island only inhabited by 2 guards. Have a tour where you will find beautiful shells and see elegant sea birds. Swim, snorkel or go sea kayaking. Mooring for the night.
Spend the morning as you please, relaxing and making the most of the kayaks and snorkelling. After lunch, sail for 2 hours towards Daghetti which shelters a charming village 'lost in time'.
Day 6 - Daghetti / Guraidhoo (South Ari Atoll)
After breakfast, you can visit the village and its museum showing local life at the beginning of the last century. There is plenty of time for some 'retail therapy' in the numerous local shops. Do not forget to look at the impressive Banyan tree, several hundred years old, the pride of the islands inhabitants. 3 hours sailing after lunch toward South Male Atoll and Guraidhoo Island. Dinner at mooring.
Day 7 - Guraidhoo / Malé / Hulhumale
Lunch then swimming and snorkelling. Time to explore this interesting island of fishermen. After lunch, 2 hours sailing to Malé and Hulhumale.
Day 8 - Hulhumale
Disembarkation between 6:00am and 8:00am and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
Your Yacht —
This offer is based on a full board stay. You will receive breakfast, lunch and an evening meal on the yacht.
Catamarans, with their shallow draughts, allow you to explore the numerous islands and reefs that are set in this abundant and vibrant crystal blue Indian Ocean in total comfort. We can think of few places where this is more of value than the beautiful islands of the Maldives. To sail amongst this water wonderland is amazing. To be able to dive and snorkel amongst the underwater landscape is simply out of this world. If you prefer to scuba then diving can be arranged with the local diving clubs in each location.
The catamaran has all the latest navigational equipment to enable safe and pleasant sailing as you explore a multitude of islands, many of which are uninhabited. The crew of three provide attentive yet discreet service and detailed local knowledge throughout.
