Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and sitting on the western tip of Portugal, the Vila Galé Ericeira is continental Europe’s western most 4-star hotel. This historic hotel overlooks the Praia da Ericeira, close by Cabo da Roca, and it is only 30 minutes away from Lisbon.

Often praised as the mecca of surf in Portugal, Ericeira is a fishing village that has morphed into a tourist resort and holiday hotspot. Blessed with 300 days of sunshine a year and mild temperatures even through winter you don’t need to be a surfer to enjoy a holiday in Ericeira. Although famous for its waves, the town boasts beautiful beaches and countryside, delicious regional cuisine, great nightlife and fantastic golfing, horse riding and cycling facilities nearby.

Located in the emblematic village of Ericeira, just over the beach, this hotel filled with history and tradition offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Vila Galé Ericeira's restaurant, Ocidental, has a delectable menu focusing on fresh fish specialities and other Portuguese favourites. The restaurant and bars have a fantastic selection of Portuguese wines.

The hotel’s relaxed Pirata Bar is perfect for a pre-dinner cocktail or a great place to finish off the night with a Portuguese liquor or port, and the Pool Bar offers an ideal and convenient refreshment during the hot weather.

Your Journey —

Flights: The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Transfers: Transfers are not included, but can be added at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee. Distance between airport and hotel is approximately 46km/34 minutes.

Car Hire: Can be added during the next stage of the booking process.

Meet & Greet —

If you are driving to the airport in the UK, and book our package including flights, you may wish to add our 'Meet and Greet' service. Take the hassle out of airport parking and have an official representative take your car on arrival, and it will be waiting for you on your return.

This can be added at the next stage of booking process where available.

Car Hire —

Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group.

The minimum age for driving a hire car in Portugal is 21 and drivers must have held a full driving licence for a least 1 year. You must present a full valid driving licence on collection of the vehicle and in some cases a credit card deposit.

Your Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

Flight Inclusive Offers -

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct.  If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents.  You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, 'Meet & Greet', car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services.  Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your ‘Safe Senders’ list or check your ‘Junk mail’ regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
