Catania, situated on Sicily's east coast, has been buried under lava from Mount Etna seven times and has risen each time like a phoenix from the ashes. This, coupled with the Sicilian melting-pot of cultures from Greek, Roman and Byzantine occupation in ancient times to French and Spanish rule during the Renaissance, makes the city a fascinating destination.

UNESCO awarded the city's Baroque centre the status of a World Heritage Site. There are countless Greek and Roman sites to visit and Baroque churches and palaces to sample. Don't miss the city's emblematic monument dating from 1736, the Fontane dell' Elefante, a comical black lava statue of a smiling elephant topped by a white obelisk. Also known as U Liotro in Sicilian, the statue stands in Piazza del' Duomo.

This offer is based on a bed and breakfast stay. Just for you: Our members will receive a 20% discount at the restaurant and a welcome drink upon arrival.

The hotel offers fine dining in Le Zagare restaurant and a bar service in l'Incontro bar. Lemon trees adorn the terrace of the Le Zagare restaurant, which serves dishes with regional flavours using the best Sicilian produce. The cuisine is creative and refined and includes freshly caught fish from local waters.

The sumptuous l'Incontro Bar, beautifully decorated in tones of earth and sun with luxury wood panelling and striking, embossed gold-on-black engravings, is an ideal place for snacks and drinks.

Your Journey —

Flights: The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.

Transfers: Transfers are not included with this offer. The transfer distance is approximately 7km.

Car Hire: Members who book flights with us may opt to hire a car. This can be done at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee.

Meet & Greet —

If you are driving to the airport in the UK, and book our package including flights, you may wish to add our 'Meet and Greet' service. Take the hassle out of airport parking and have an official representative take your car on arrival, and it will be waiting for you on your return.

This can be added at the next stage of booking process where available.

Car Hire —

Members who book flights with us may opt to hire a car. This can be done at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee.

Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group.

The minimum age for driving a hire car in Italy is 21 and drivers must have held a full driving licence for a least 1 year. You must present a full valid driving licence on collection of the vehicle and in some cases a credit card deposit.

Your Contract —

If you book a package which includes flights, your contract will be with Voyage Privé. The air holiday package(s) shown are ATOL protected by the Civil Aviation Authority. Our ATOL number is 10170.

If you book a package which does not include flights, then ATOL protection does not apply. Your contract will be with the provider of the accommodation and not Voyage Privé. Voyage Privé acts only as agent for the accommodation provider.

Travel Documents —

Flight Inclusive Offers -

You will receive an email confirming your booking within the next 48 hours.

Please check all details on this confirmation are correct.  If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.

The airline is ticketless and therefore, you will not receive any hard copy documents.  You will however, receive an email from us detailing your flight information and reference number to enable you to manage your booking online via the airline website.

You will also receive an accommodation voucher for presentation at the hotel reception at point of check-in.

If you have booked transfers, 'Meet & Greet', car hire or airport lounges, you will receive a separate voucher for each of these services.  Please note that transfer vouchers are sent directly from the transfer supplier.

Please do make sure that you either add Voyage Privé to your ‘Safe Senders’ list or check your ‘Junk mail’ regularly for your travel documents.

We will send all documents out as early as possible (subject to full payment being received) but you should receive all your documentation at least 10 days prior to departure.
