New Delhi
A trip to New Delhi, India's dynamic capital, will introduce you to teeming bazaars, tree-lined boulevards, fascinating temples and historically important mosques. Somewhere between a place of intense spirituality and a dynamic eastern metropolis, this city offers something for all its visitors.
Its turbulent history is reflected in a wide variety of architectural styles, which testify to how the city has been destroyed and rebuilt many times. To see an example of the city's diverse cultural heritage, visit the Qutab Minar. This sandstone and marble brick minaret marked the beginning of Muslim rule in India. A short distance away, walkable by rickshaw, is the Presidential Palace (Rashtrapati Bhavan), where you can see the English and Indian architectural influences that characterise much of New Delhi. Walking along Rajpath Avenue (the King's Way), one can admire the Gateway of India, the monument to the Indian nation.
Goa
With palm fringed beaches, picturesque landscapes and hidden coves, Goa is a land of dreams that will forever leave its stamp on your memory. The Portuguese came to Goa in search of spices. Given the sheer beauty of the landscape, they stayed here for almost 400 years, making it the eastern capital of the Portuguese colonial empire. Nestled between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats, this former Portuguese colony bears witness to a glorious past with churches and sumptuous hillside villas. Goa is a fresco of colours and aromas that maintains its festive traditions and joie de vivre. An oriental pearl that combines white sandy beaches, dense vegetation, delicious cuisine and a friendly and smiling population, Goa will enchant you!
