8-Night Tour
Day 1: On arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by a representative from Sense of Africa, South Africa who will assist you to your transfer vehicle for your road transfer to Capital Mirage Hotel a transfer of approximately 30 minutes. Breakfast.
Day 2: Why not choose the optional Cape Town Tour to fully discover the surroundings? Breakfast.
Day 3: With the Cape Winelands Full Day Tour, travel through the premier wine-producing regions of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. In addition to the wines, guests can expect breathtaking scenery. Each region is characterized by rugged mountain ranges and picturesque valleys with vineyards dotted along the route. Enjoy a cellar tour, and wine tastings at three top wine estates before embarking on a tour through the historic town of Stellenbosch where much of the original Cape-Dutch architecture has been preserved. Breakfast.
Day 4: After breakfast at your hotel, you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport where you board your scheduled flight to Johannesburg (cost of flight not included). Collect your Europcar rental, group D or similar vehicle and drive to Premier Hotel OR Tambo. Breakfast.
Day 5: After breakfast, drive to Hazyview, a drive of approximately 5 hours, where you have 3 days to explore this beautiful part of South Africa. Breakfast & dinner.
Day 6: Opt for the Panorama Tour and enjoy a scenic drive to visit the wonders that the “Panorama Route” has to offer! Breakfast & dinner.
Day 7: Opt for the Private Game Drive option, with exclusive use of an Open Safari Vehicle. Early Morning pick-up (05h30) from an Entrance Gate will ensure an early start. During the course of the day, we will use no more than 10% of the 2 294 km of roads open to the public in the Park. All roads lead somewhere and while enjoying the diversity of wildlife the Kruger has on offer, we will make a stop for breakfast. Here, you will have a chance to browse through the shops and visit the bank (Skukuza only) if they need to. After breakfast, continue the Game Drive in search of the 147 mammal species, 507 bird species and 114 reptile species. En route, with a bit of luck, just spot the elusive Leopard as well. Breakfast & dinner.
Day 8: After breakfast depart to Premier Hotel OR Tambo in Johannesburg, a drive of approximately 5 hours. Breakfast.
Day 9: Your tour has come to an end! Time to head home.
10-Night Tour
Day 1-7: Same as 8-night tour.
Day 8: After breakfast depart to Makalali Main Lodge, a drive of approximately 4 hours.
Day 9: Another day to enjoy morning and afternoon game drives. Morning game drives depart around 06:00 and takes approximately 3 hours.
Day 10: After an early morning game drive and breakfast depart to Premier Hotel OR Tambo in Johannesburg, a drive of approximately 7 hours.
Day 11: After breakfast, depart for OR Tambo Int. Airport where you will return your rental vehicle and check in for your flight.
12-Night Tour
Day 1: Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will assist you to your vehicle for your road transfer to Capital Mirage Hotel (approximately 30 minutes).
Day 2: After breakfast, enjoy your free time or indulge in a Cape Town city tour (optional with supplement): this full-day tour is an ideal way to see the highlights of the city. Travel along the Atlantic coastline with its white beaches and rugged mountains to Hout Bay.
If time permits, you have the option of taking a half-hour boat trip to Duiker Island to see a colony of Cape fur seals (on your own). If time permits, continue on Chapman's Peak Drive, considered one of the most beautiful drives in the world.
Visit Cape Point Nature Reserve and the tip of the Cape Peninsula that has captivated travellers for centuries. The return to Cape Town is along the False Bay coast, with the option of visiting the rare African penguin colony at Boulders Beach (on your own). You will pass through the naval village of Simon's Town, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg. Visit the Rhodes Memorial viewpoint and learn about the importance of this historic site before returning to the hotel.
Day 3 and 4: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. You have two full days to explore Cape Town at your leisure. Take the Table Mountain cable car to the top of the mountain, stop at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for shopping, or take a stroll to one of the beautiful nearby beaches.
Day 5: Enjoy a tasty breakfast before exploring the city or opting for the "Discover the Cape Winelands" excursion (optional with supplement).
Description of the option:
The world-famous Cape Winelands are located about an hour's drive from Cape Town. This tour passes through the main wine regions of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. In addition to the wines, breathtaking landscapes await you. Each region is characterized by rugged mountain ranges and scenic valleys with vineyards dotted along the route. Enjoy a cellar tour and wine tastings at three premier wineries before embarking on a tour of historic Stellenbosch, where much of the original Cape Verdean architecture has been preserved.
Day 6: After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Cape Town International Airport where you will board your domestic flight to Johannesburg. Collect your Europcar, Group D or similar rental vehicle and drive to Premier Hotel OR Tambo.
Day 7: After breakfast, you will travel to Hazyview, a drive of approximately 5 hours, where you will have 3 days to explore this beautiful region of South Africa.
Day 8: After breakfast, you can opt for the "Panorama Tour" (optional with supplement).
Description of the option: take the scenic route and visit all the wonders it has to offer, namely Blyderiver Canyon, which is 60 km long and is the third largest canyon in the world. There are a few viewpoints (God's Window, The Pinnacle, The Three Rondawels) along the edge of the escarpment offering excellent views of the Blydedam, the canyon and the Blyderiver 600 meters below.
Berlin Falls, which can be reached by a footpath along the river, where water from the Berlin Stream falls from a 150m drop into a large pool. Lisbon Falls is where the Blyderiver divides and large pools form before the water cascades down the steep cliff to a pool 92 meters below.
The Mac Mac Falls viewpoint offers a spectacular view of this waterfall which was so named because of the number of miners of Scottish descent who lived in the area. Bourke's Luck Potholes are deep cylindrical holes formed by the action of sand and rock carried by the flooding river. Visitors can observe them up close from specially constructed bridges over the potholes. Also visit the historic town of Pilgrim's Rest which is now a living national monument. It was founded in 1873 when South Africa's first significant gold discovery was made in the region.
Day 9: After breakfast, take advantage of this day to let yourself be tempted by a safari in the Kruger Park (optional with supplement).
Description of the option: With this private safari permit, you will have exclusive use of an open safari vehicle. An early morning pickup (05:30) from a front door will guarantee you an early departure. During the day, we will use no more than 10% of the 2,294 km of roads open to the public in the park. All roads lead somewhere and while appreciating the diversity of flora and fauna in the Kruger, we will stop for breakfast.
Here you can shop and go to the bank (Skukuza only) if they need it. After breakfast, you will continue your safari in search of 147 species of mammals, 507 species of birds and 114 species of reptiles. En route we try to show guests as much as possible and hopefully we may also spot the elusive leopard. Lunch time allows guests to stretch their legs and take in the splendor of this stunning location! Return and comforting stop at one of Kruger's many camps or picnic areas.
Day 10: After lunch, head to Makalali Main Lodge (approximately 4 hours).
Day 11: Another day to enjoy the morning and afternoon game drives. Morning game drives depart around 6am and last approximately 3 hours.
Day 12: After an early morning game drive and breakfast, depart for the Premier Hotel OR Tambo in Johannesburg, a journey of approximately 7 hours.
Day 13: After breakfast, depart for OR Tambo International Airport where you will return your rental vehicle and check in for your return flight.
