Sliema —
Vibrant Sliema, one of Malta's most popular locations, is renowned for its shopping boutiques, busy seafront, cosmopolitan cafés, and exquisite restaurants and bars. Admire the spectacular Mediterranean and make your way along the waterfront promenade, which continues for a 4km stretch to Spinola Bay, where more restaurants are concentrated. Head further on to St. Julians, and discover the town popular for its bustling nightlife and casinos.
Sliema has a lovely promenade which is perfect for a morning stroll in the sunshine. Take the ferry from the harbour across to the Maltese capital, Valletta, and see wonderful Baroque architecture, the majestic St John's Cathedral and plenty of quaint cafés and wine bars. Valletta also plays host to a variety of cultural events throughout the year, so be sure to check the local calendar before you travel!
