Turn right out of the hotel and walk for 5 minutes and you will find the Dali museum on Calle Arcs, 5. The museum also has a sunny outdoor terrace which is a lovely place to have lunch or a coffee.
Carry on down past the Dali museum and you will hit Calle Portal de L'Angel, one of Barcelona's best shopping streets and also the way up to Placa Catalunya. From Placa Catalunya you can stroll up the Champs-Elysee of Barcelona, Passeig de Gracia where you will find some of Gaudi's most fantastical buildings, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. If you're after the hustle and bustle of La Rambla then walk down Calle Portaferrissa and you will get there in about 7 minutes.
Turn left out the Hotel and you will reach Via Laietana which will take you all the way down to the seafront in about 15 minutes. Or branch off down Via Argenteria and you will find El Borne, one of Barcelona's trendiest districts, full of lively bars and home to the best pizza place in Barcelona, Pizza del Borne.
