One of the largest unspoiled game reserve in Africa, Selous Game Reserve is immense, remote and wild and no human habitation is allowed within its boundaries, apart from within camps and lodges.
Today it boasts some of Africa’s finest natural scenery, unchanged through centuries and inhabited by three quarters of a million wild animals. The river systems and gorges are fascinating, as are the swamps, woodlands and savannahs, all home to hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalos, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, leopards and lions to mention just a few of the species! The bird-life is also extremely rich and varied.
Game drives are by open four-wheel drive vehicle or by boat - a wonderfully peaceful way to view the spectacular wildlife.
Over many centuries, different cultures have influenced Zanzibar to make 'The Spice Island' what it is today. The cuisine, culture, and accepting friendly attitude is a reflection of its multicultural past and present.
Zanzibar's Indian Ocean coastline offers world class watersports including scuba diving, snorkelling, deep sea fishing, kayaking, windsurfing and waterskiing. Or the white sand beaches are perfect for just chilling out if you fancy something less active!
Recently declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, visitors may choose to visit the fascinating historical Stone Town - the capital city and cultural heart of Zanzibar. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses. You can spend many idle hours just wandering through this fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways. Stone Town is an hour's drive from your hotel.

Day 01
Arrive at Dar airport. Meet and greet and connect with scheduled flight to the Selous. Upon arrival, you are met by the camp’s vehicle and transferred to the camp. Lunch and afternoon shared activity – game drive, walking safari or boat ride on the Rufiji River. Return to the camp for dinner.

Day 02

Day 03
Morning transfer to Steiglers Airstrip for scheduled flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, meet and greet followed by transfer to Azao Resort for 5, 8 or 12 nights in a junior suite garden view room on all inclusive basis.
Day 8, 11 or Day 15
Transfer to Zanzibar airport for International flight.

You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.
Domestic Flights: Included from Dar es Salaam to Selous and from Selous to Zanzibar.
Transfers: Shared airport transfers are included throughout.
- Passengers should bring only soft sided bags on safaris.
- All passengers must have Identification Card/Passport with them for internal flights.
- Baggage on internal flights is strictly limited to 15kgs per person (including hand luggage). Any excess baggage will be charged by the airline at check-in.
- Passengers arriving to Tanzania may be asked to present a valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.
