Its fertile lands have all played a part in the evolution of its gastronomy - from the delta of the River Ebro to the Empordà to the Valley of Arán and of course the world-famous wine regions of Penedés and Priorat. This “food from our land” concept is the basis for the D.O. restaurant. Longitude Bar Located between the lobby and the large terrace overlooking the beach. It's the perfect place to unwind with good music in the evenings whilst overlooking the Mediterranean sea with a cocktail, a snack or a tea from the extensive menu. The Beach Club Located in one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of Cataluña, it offers a relaxed and informal experience. Dedicated staff will help you enjoy the simple but creative Mediterranean cuisine made with fresh local produce. The flights included are with either a scheduled or no-frills airline and are subject to live availability and prices can change. You can choose your preferred departure times during the booking process. Please select your flight options carefully as departure and arrival airports may differ.
Transfers:
It may be possible to add return transfers at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only - subject to availability). For inbound transfer arrangements please confirm with your transfer provider when you arrive. Alternatively, please check with the reception of your accommodation. Car Hire:
For the freedom to explore your destination at your own pace, Sixt car hire may be added at the next stage of the booking process for an additional fee (flight inclusive offers only - subject to availability and Sixt office opening times upon your arrival). Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group. The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver. The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted). The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on the collection of the vehicle and in some cases, a credit card or cash deposit will be required. Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions. Your Destination —
Stretching 216 km down the Mediterranean coast of Spain, just south of Barcelona, the Costa Dorada (‘Golden Coast’) is a sun-soaked destination offering everything from beautiful beaches to family entertainment and lively nightlife centres; but with UNESCO-listed Roman villas, modernist bell towers and ancient monasteries, the Costa Dorada also offers an authentic slice of Spanish living and culture.
The capital of the Costa Dorada is widely considered to be Salou, which boasts an impressive sandy beach, as well as a host of restaurants, bars, and shops. The main attraction of this sunny resort, however, is PortAventura, an exciting entertainment resort with an extensive theme park, as well as the themed Ferrari Land. In the centre of Salou, visitors looking for yet more thrills can visit Bosc Aventura, an adventure park featuring paintball, ziplines, mini-golf, and archery.
Elsewhere in the Costa Dorada, Cap Salou is a quiet resort surrounded by secret coves and tranquil beaches, while Tarragona is a bustling city offering a Roman Amphitheatre and 12th-century cathedral. Film buffs should take a visit to Sitges in October when the town hosts its yearly horror and fantasy film festival, and couples will enjoy touring the region’s wineries and vineyards, where you can sample the region’s flavourful produce.
