Your Destination —
After your coffee, browse the stylish boutiques and bars in the surrounding streets before heading to Mount Lycabetus for spectacular views of the city. It's a 45 minute climb to the top, but if you'd rather not walk there is a funicular that goes up to the summit. While you're there, visit the tiny chapel of St George and, upon descending, stop at the famous Benaki Museum.
In the evening, start with a pleasant stroll along the pedestrian walkway of Dionysiou Areopagitou. As you walk towards the Thission area, admire the 150 metre high 'sacred rock' of the Acropolis, the most important site in the city.
Enjoy a drink in one of its numerous buzzing bars. After this, walk around the Ancient Agora and along Adrianou street until you reach Plaka. Athens oldest and mainly pedestrianized neighborhood where you will find the largest selection of traditional Greek tavernas for dinner.
