Your Itinerary —
Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi
After a long flight, you will arrive in the thousand-year-old city of Hanoi. Your driver will transfer you from Noi Bai Airport to your hotel in the city centre. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy an overnight stay in Hanoi. (Note: Hotel check-in time is 14.00. Early check-in is not included and subject to hotel availability at an additional charge).
Day 2: Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch Included)
After breakfast, the day will start with a visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh - the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and every afternoons due to closure), and the house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda whose origins date back to the foundation of city. Next up, visit Tran Quoc Pagoda - Hanoi’s oldest pagoda on the bank of West Lake & Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam - the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university which was constructed in the 11th century. Then, head back to your hotel and enjoy free time for lunch at your own expense.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, the afternoon will be spent with a visit to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (closed every Monday), which offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups of Vietnam. Then transfer to the Old Quarters and visit the Saint Joseph Cathedral, the oldest church in Hanoi and Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi – Handicraft village – Ninh Binh (Ha Long Bay on Land) (Breakfast/Lunch Included)
After breakfast, check-out and meet your guide for a transfer to Ha Nam which located 70km to the south of Hanoi. Arriving at the village after about a 1 hour 30 minutes car drive, visit a local village to meet friendly villagers and see how locals make rice noodles and patties. This village has yet to be known by mass tourism. It will give you the opportunity to participate in the work with locals, see their rural life and chat with them to understand how they live and earn for their living.
Continue on the road to Ninh Binh and have lunch at a local restaurant upon arrival. Transfer to your hotel to check-in and relax.
In the afternoon, take the road to the Nham site which is still a little-known site for tourists to take a traditional boat trip in the poetic landscapes of Hai Nham situated among limestone peaks. On the way, stop to visit the impressive But cave. Continue the trip to Bich Dong pagoda (Jade pagoda) located on the side of Bich Dong Mountain and Ngu Nhac Son Range. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 4: Ninh Binh – Ha Long Bay (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Included)
After breakfast, you will depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a world heritage site of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich agricultural lands of the Red River Delta and rice paddy landscapes, water buffaloes, daily life of Vietnamese villages. You arrive at Ha Long Bay after 4 hours drive. Here you will check-in and enjoy lunch on board. The cruise goes through many rocks and islets in various forms, and make several stops to visit surprising caves. Enjoy dinner and overnight on board.
Please Note: This itinerary is subject to change due to boat availability or weather condition without prior notice. There will be an in-house English speaking guide to share on boat.
Day 5: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (Breakfast/Brunch Included)
In the morning, continue the cruise to discover the beauties of the bay before returning to the dock. The boat heads towards the port of Ha Long. The light lunch aboard the junk in the form of a brunch will close this magnificent cruise. All the crew will come to greet you and thank you when you disembark at the port at about 11 am, where the driver is waiting for you for a car drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi - Departure (Breakfast Included)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before free time to explore Hanoi further until your transfer to the airport for your flight to back home. Check-out time is 12pm.
