Your Itinerary

10-Night Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
Upon arrival, you will be met by a driver and transferred to your hotel in the city centre to check-in. Spend the rest of the day free at leisure, and enjoy an overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta/Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After breakfast at your hotel, take the road to Vinh Long and visit the Vinh Long Market in town. This is the best opportunity to take photos of fish, shrimp, crabs, snakes, rice field rats, tropical fruits and vegetables. Continue the trip with a boat cruise to visit the local workshops where you will see how to make rice leaves, coconut candies and rice popcorn. Enjoy some candies and a hot cup of tea. Then, you will wander around to visit the orchard and the local family. You will enjoy some fruit and tea while listening to traditional music. Lunch in a fruitful orchard. In the afternoon, continue with a boat trip along the Mekong River and observe many floating cages for fish farming. Then, you will pass the My An canal to see many brick kilns on both sides and return to the Hòa Tịnh canal. You will walk in a peaceful village to see how they make bricks, trays, bamboo baskets and conical hats by hand. Then, take the boat to Cai Be and enjoy a rowing boat ride on the Ba Nam Canal at Tan Phong Island. Return to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City in the mid-afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang - Hoi An (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and check-out. After that, visit the central post office, a remnant of the French colonial era and perhaps the largest post office in Southeast Asia. Located next to the Notre-Dame Saigon Cathedral, these two cultural sites can be visited together and offer visitors the opportunity to imagine life in Vietnam at the time of the Indochinese Empire. Continue your trip with a visit to the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the Governor General of Indochina, the President of the Republic of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue your visit to a local food market, a flower market, and a place of residence to observe local life. The last stop of the day is the unforgettable Jade Emperor pagoda. The pagoda is filled with smoky incense and fantastic carved figurines. It was built by the Cantonese community at the end of the 20th century and continues to buzz with the faithful. Transfer to airport for a flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 4: Hoi An (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Today, we offer you a glimpse of the country life in the suburbs of Hoi An's old town - an incredible experience of sailing along a peaceful river to the Cam Thanh Coconut Water village. You will observe the way that the local fishermen do round net fishing. This is a good opportunity to learn fishing with locals - a practical and fun experience. Then, we will continue with the discovery of local rice culture. Visit a local family to learn about various farming tools and how to prepare white rice in the traditional way with old hand tools. You will join a small Bánh Xèo cooking class with your host. Lunch with village specialities. Join us, meet friendly people and enjoy interesting experiences. In the afternoon, discover Hoi An, the city that was home to Annam's main trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries, nowadays classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by hiking around the city and its wonderful harbor. Follow the narrow streets lined with Chinese, Japanese, French and European architecture and visit the many sights: the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, the Phuc Kien Meeting Room, the local fish market. Around the city you will be able to see the art galleries and the tailors' shops and why not make tailor-made clothes. You will continue then by visiting the house of a craftsman in the old districts. Here you will have a brief introduction to the history, the origin of the shape and colours of the local lanterns, and will be able to make your own. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An - Hue (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After breakfast, check-out and take a car trip to Hue via the Hai Van Pass, which offers a breathtaking panorama of the central coastline and Lang Co Beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. You will arrive in Hue after 3 hours of driving. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel (World Cultural Heritage) including Hat Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace. Overnight in Hue

Day 6: Hue (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll head out for a day of adventure. Situated on the right bank of Perfume River, around 7 km from Hue's centre, Thuy Bieu attracts tourists thanks to its unique and special features on architecture and culture, its peaceful garden houses and its seasonal fruits. Your dragon boat will pick up your group at Toa Kham wharf, before you start cruising on the Perfume River. Stop for a typical visit at the Thien Mu Pagoda, which is a historic temple and the symbol of the romantic city of Hue. You'll then head back to the boat for a scenic cruise to the Hue Ecolodge where a local guide will be ready to welcome you to visit the Thuy  Bieu Eco-village, an authentic village that represents the countryside of Hue. Then, depart to Thuy Bieu local market with a local guide, and take time to stroll around and buy the necessary ingredients for a cooking class - Prepare a meal for yourself under the instruction of a chef and learn to cook 3 dishes: Vả fruit mixed shrimp and pork; Banh Ram It (a patty of super-crunchy deep-fried stick rice topped with stir-fried shrimp and pork) and Banh Khoái (a pan-fried crepe that is typically stuffed with shrimp and pork belly). After your practical class, it’s time to taste the traditional dishes that you have prepared while your chef will be able to give his feedback on your own chef skills. Please Note: The market is open till 11 a.m. Overnight in Hue.
Day 7: Hue - Hanoi (Breakfast Included)
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport for a flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your driver will pick you up and drive you to your hotel. Travel Advice

Please note that the advice can change, and you should continue to check all advice until you travel.

Entry Requirements

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on.

Until 30 June 2021, ‘British Citizen’ passport holders travelling for tourism can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days (counting the dates of entry and exit) without a visa. If you have a different type of British nationality – for example ‘British national (overseas)’ you’ll need to get a visa before entering Vietnam.

If you’re planning to make multiple visits in a short period to Vietnam, consider applying for a multiple entry visa. You can’t get another 15-day visa waiver within 30 days of your last visit - you’ll need to get a visa or an e-visa to re-enter the country.

For longer durations of 16 to 30 days (for example if you arrive in Vietnam on 23rd August and leave on 7th September), you must get an e-visa online before you travel. The use of an e-visa is limited to certain entry/exit points which you must select at the time of application. E-visas are only applicable to ‘British Citizen’ passport holders.

For more information on entry requirements please go to https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/vietnam/entry-requirements

UK health authorities have classified Vietnam as having a risk of Zika virus transmission. For information and advice about the risks associated with Zika virus, visit the National Travel Health Network and Centre website.

If you’re taking prescription medication into Vietnam, carry it in your hand luggage with a copy of the prescription. If it has a total import value greater than US$100, you should declare it at customs.

Please note that passport, visa and health requirements can change. It is every traveller’s responsibility to ensure they have a valid passport, any required visas, and all the necessary vaccinations/health requirements as well as adequate insurance.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

As of July 10th 2020, the UK Government has approved that travel to Vietnam is allowed without the need to quarantine upon return, thanks to an 'air-bridge' agreement. Vietnam has been listed as a 'green/amber' destination and is therefore considered safe enough to visit without requiring 14 days of self-isolation upon reentering the UK. Tourists choosing to book stopover flights may not be permitted to return without quarantining if the country they stop off in is not also listed as green/amber by the UK Government. Please note that this information is constantly being reviewed and may be subject to change.

Please note that due to the current situation, any information mentioned is subject to change or adaptation.

We strongly recommend that you contact the hotel three days before your departure to keep you informed of the latest changes and information.
