10-Night Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
Upon arrival, you will be met by a driver and transferred to your hotel in the city centre to check-in. Spend the rest of the day free at leisure, and enjoy an overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta/Vinh Long - Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After breakfast at your hotel, take the road to Vinh Long and visit the Vinh Long Market in town. This is the best opportunity to take photos of fish, shrimp, crabs, snakes, rice field rats, tropical fruits and vegetables. Continue the trip with a boat cruise to visit the local workshops where you will see how to make rice leaves, coconut candies and rice popcorn. Enjoy some candies and a hot cup of tea. Then, you will wander around to visit the orchard and the local family. You will enjoy some fruit and tea while listening to traditional music. Lunch in a fruitful orchard. In the afternoon, continue with a boat trip along the Mekong River and observe many floating cages for fish farming. Then, you will pass the My An canal to see many brick kilns on both sides and return to the Hòa Tịnh canal. You will walk in a peaceful village to see how they make bricks, trays, bamboo baskets and conical hats by hand. Return to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City in the mid-afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang - Hoi An (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and check-out. After that, visit the central post office, a remnant of the French colonial era and perhaps the largest post office in Southeast Asia. Located next to the Notre-Dame Saigon Cathedral, these two cultural sites can be visited together and offer visitors the opportunity to imagine life in Vietnam at the time of the Indochinese Empire. Continue your trip with a visit to the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the Governor General of Indochina, the President of the Republic of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue your visit to a local food market, a flower market, and a place of residence to observe local life. The last stop of the day is the unforgettable Jade Emperor pagoda. The pagoda is filled with smoky incense and fantastic carved figurines. It was built by the Cantonese community at the end of the 20th century and continues to buzz with the faithful. Transfer to airport for a flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 4: Hoi An (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. Today, we offer you a glimpse of the country life in the suburbs of Hoi An's old town - an incredible experience of sailing along a peaceful river to the Cam Thanh Coconut Water village. You will observe the way that the local fishermen do round net fishing. This is a good opportunity to learn fishing with locals - a practical and fun experience. Then, we will continue with the discovery of local rice culture. Visit a local family to learn about various farming tools and how to prepare white rice in the traditional way with old hand tools. You will join a small Bánh Xèo cooking class with your host. Lunch with village specialities. Join us, meet friendly people and enjoy interesting experiences. In the afternoon, discover Hoi An, the city that was home to Annam's main trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries, nowadays classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by hiking around the city and its wonderful harbor. Follow the narrow streets lined with Chinese, Japanese, French and European architecture and visit the many sights: the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, the Phuc Kien Meeting Room, the local fish market. Around the city you will be able to see the art galleries and the tailors' shops and why not make tailor-made clothes. You will continue then by visiting the house of a craftsman in the old districts. Here you will have a brief introduction to the history, the origin of the shape and colours of the local lanterns, and will be able to make your own. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 5: Hoi An - Hue (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After breakfast, check-out and take a car trip to Hue via the Hai Van Pass, which offers a breathtaking panorama of the central coastline and Lang Co Beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. You will arrive in Hue after 3 hours of driving. Lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel (World Cultural Heritage) including Hat Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace. Overnight in Hue

Day 6: Hue (Breakfast and Lunch Included)
After breakfast at your hotel, take to the back of a motorcycle and experience the best way to see local life and the countryside in Hue. The mix of urban and rural life will fascinate you. Visit the rural villages for rice paddies and traditional crafts. Stop at Thanh Toan Village where there is a Tiled Bridge, one of Vietnam's oldest famous bridges for its ancient architecture, historical and cultural values. Venture into the city of the tombs to get a glimpse of the funeral custom in Vietnam and visit the tomb of King Khai Dinh, a mix of Western and Eastern architecture. Stop at Vong Canh Hill and admire the beautiful landscape of the natural area and the Perfume River. Continue driving to Kim Long Village, where traditional garden shelters are preserved. Lunch is served in a pagoda where you can learn about Vietnamese Buddhism while chatting with the monks (lunch in the pagoda is simply vegetarian, in case you prefer to have lunch in a restaurant, please inform your guide on Day 3 when you arrive in Hoi An). The next stop in with a local family that makes many types of traditional Hue specialities. After being warmly welcomed by your host, take a seat and learn how to make traditional specialities such as Banh Nam and Banh Loc. Enjoy your hard work while chatting with your host. Overnight in Hue

Please Note: This tour is for travellers who like to have a local transportation experience. If you prefer to do all the tours by car, please inform your guide on Day 3 when you arrive in Hoi An and we will amend services accordingly.
Day 7: Hue - Hanoi (Breakfast Included)
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport for a flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your driver will pick you up and drive you to your hotel. On the way, visit the Ethnology Museum (this visit will be replaced by the History Museum on Mondays due to closure), a valuable centre for the exhibition and conservation of cultural achievements of 54 ethnic groups present in Vietnam giving an excellent overview of the cultural richness of Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 8: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
After breakfast, you will depart via the road to Ha Long Bay, a world heritage site of outstanding natural beauty. You will arrive at Ha Long Bay after 3 and a half hours of driving. Check-in and enjoy lunch on board. The cruise goes through many rocks and islets in various forms, and make several stops to visit surprising caves. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Please Note: This itinerary is subject to change due to boat availability or weather conditions without prior notice.

Day 9: Ha Long Bay (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included)
Why don’t you wake up early for a Tai Chi class at 6.30 am on the terrace? This is a good morning activity, ensuring guests feel in harmony with the wonder of nature. After that, have a light breakfast and set off on a day boat to cruise in Lan Ha Bay passing floating villages, islands and islets. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, continue cruising and then return to the main boat to spend a second night on board.
Day 10: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (Brunch Included)
In the morning, continue your cruise and discover the beauties of the bay before returning to the dock. The junk will head towards the port of Ha Long Bay. A light lunch aboard the junk in the form of a brunch will close this magnificent cruise. All the crew will come to greet you and thank you when you disembark at the port at about 11 am, where the driver is waiting for you to drive you back to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi, check-in your hotel and be free for rest of the day. Overnight in Hanoi.
