Day 1: Arrival in Saigon
Day 1: Arrival in Saigon
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, your driver will meet you and drive you to your hotel in the city centre (Note: the check-in time is from 14:00). Free time and overnight in Saigon.
Day 2-3: Saigon - Mekong Delta/Vinh Long -Saigon - Hoi An
Day 2: Saigon – Mekong Delta/Vinh Long – Saigon (Breakfast/Lunch)
Breakfast at your hotel. After that, head to Vinh Long and visit the Vinh Long Market in town. Explore the unique products from fish, shrimp, shrimp, crabs to snakes, rice-field rats, tropical fruits, and vegetables. Continue to a boat trip cruise and visit local workshops where you can see how rice leaves are made, as well as coconut candy and rice popcorn.
Continue to a boat trip along the Mekong River and observe the floating cages for fish farming. You will then pass the My An canal where you will see many brick kilns on both sides after which you will return to the Hòa Tịnh canal. You will then walk in a peaceful village to see how bricks are made as well as trays and bamboo baskets. You will also learn how conical hats are made by hand. Enjoy lunch, then take the boat to Cai Be followed by a rowing boat ride on the Ba Nam Canal at Tan Phong Island. Return to your hotel in Saigon in the late afternoon. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 3: Saigon visits – Fly to Da Nang – Hoi An (Breakfast/Lunch)
Breakfast at your hotel and check-out.
Afterwards, visit the central post office, a remnant of the French colonial era and perhaps the largest post office in Southeast Asia. Located next to the Notre-Dame Saigon Cathedral, these two cultural sites can be visited together and offer visitors the opportunity to imagine life in Vietnam at the time of the Indochinese Empire.
Continue your trip to the Reunification Palace, the former residence of the Governor-General of Indochina then President of the Republic of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue your visit to a local food market, a flower market, and a place of residence. The last stop of the day is the unforgettable Jade Emperor pagoda. The pagoda is filled with smoky incense and fantastic carved figurines. It was built by the Cantonese community at the end of the 20th century. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Hoi An. Overnight in Hoi An
Day 4-7: Hoi An - Hue
Day 4: Hoi An – Rural village life (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, your guide & driver will pick you up at your hotel.
Today, you will get a glimpse of country life in the suburbs of Hoi An's old town. You will then enjoy the incredible experience of sailing along a peaceful river to Cam Thanh Coconut Water village. You will observe the way that the local fishermen fish by net. This is a fun opportunity to learn how to fish with the locals.
You will continue to discover the rice culture. Visit a local family to learn about various farming tools and how to prepare traditional white rice with hand tools. You will then join a small Bánh Xèo cooking class with your host. Lunch of village specialities.
In the afternoon, discover Hoi An, the city that was home to Annam's main trading port during the 17th and 18th centuries, nowadays classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by hiking around the city and its wonderful harbour. Follow the narrow streets lined with Chinese, Japanese, French and European architecture and visit many sights: the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, the Phuc Kien Meeting Room, and the local fish market. Around the city you will be able to see incredible art galleries and tailors' shops where you can get your own tailor-made clothes.
You will continue then by visiting the house of a craftsman in the old district. Here you will have a brief introduction to the history, the origin of the shape and colours of the lanterns, as well as the many stages of realization. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 5: Hoi An – Free leisure time (Breakfast)
After breakfast at the hotel followed by a free day completely for you to enjoy at your own pace!
Suggestions: Relax at your hotel, pedal to discover the surrounding villages, go shopping in the old town, enjoy the swimming pool at your hotel or the An Bang beach which is 4km from the city centre. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An – Hue (Breakfast and Lunch)
After breakfast, check out and your guide will pick you up for a car trip to Hue through Hai Van Pass, which offers at its summit a breath-taking panorama of the central coastline and Lang Co Beach – one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam. The trip to Hue is a three hours drive. Lunch in a restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the Imperial Citadel (World Cultural Heritage) including Hat Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace. Overnight in Hue.
Day 7: Hue – Village explore by boat and bike (Breakfast/Lunch)
Situated on the right bank of Perfume River, around 7km from Hue centre, Thuy Bieu attracts tourists to the old village with unique architecture and culture, peaceful garden houses and seasonal fruits. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. A dragon boat will pick up the group at Toa Kham wharf, and start cruising on the Perfume River. You will stop for a visit to a typical Thien Mu Pagoda which is a historic temple and the symbol of Hue's romantic city.
Back to the boat for a scenic cruise to Hue Ecolodge where our local guide is ready and waiting to welcome you at Thuy Bieu Eco-village, an authentic country village in Hue with the clear notion of "garden -home". Depart to Thuy Bieu local market with the local guide, and take the time to stroll around & buy the ingredients for the cooking class, where you will prepare a meal for yourself under the instruction of a chef.
Learn to cook 3 dishes:
Vả fruit mixed shrimp and pork; Banh Ram It (a patty of super-crunchy deep-fried stick rice topped with stir-fried shrimp and pork) and Banh Khoái (a pan-fried crepe that is typically stuffed with shrimp and pork belly).
After the practical class, it’s time to taste the Hue traditional dishes that you have prepared and the chef will be able to give his feedback on your cooking skills. Note: The market is open till 11 a.m.

Day 8-11: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay - Hanoi
Day 8: Hue – Hanoi visits (Breakfast)
After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, your driver will pick you up and drive you to your hotel. On the way, visit the Ethnology Museum (this visit will be replaced by the History Museum on Mondays due to closure), a valuable centre for the exhibition and conservation of cultural achievements of 54 ethnic groups present in Vietnam giving an excellent overview of the cultural richness of Vietnam. Visit the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam. Constructed in the 11th Century, this stunning temple constitutes a rare example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture and is featured on the back of the 100,000 Vietnamese dong banknote. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 9: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, 09h00 you will depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a world heritage site of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich agricultural lands of the Red River Delta and rice paddy landscapes, and visit Vietnamese villages. You arrive at Ha Long Bay after 2,5 hour drive. Check-in and lunch on board.
The cruise goes through many rocks and islets in various forms and makes several stops to visit surprising caves.

Day 10: Ha Long - Hanoi (Brunch)
Why don’t you wake up early for Tai Chi class which takes place on the terrace (6:30 am) Afterwards, enjoy a light breakfast and then head to a day boat for a cruise in the bay, passing floating villages, islands and islets.
In the morning, you will continue on the cruise to discover the beauties of the bay before returning to the dock. The cruise heads towards the port of Ha Long. Enjoy a light lunch aboard the boat to close this magnificent cruise. All the crew will come to greet you and thank you when you disembark at the port at about 11 am, where the driver is waiting for you to drive you back to Hanoi.
Upon arrival in Hanoi, check in at your hotel and be free for rest of the day. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 11: Hanoi Departure (Breakfast)
After breakfast, enjoy free time until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight. If time permits, transfer to SF Spa for a relaxing 60-minute-body massage/person/stay. (Child under 16 years old is not allowed). In case your departure flight is in the morning, the massage can be done the day earlier, after the Ha Long Bay trip back to Hanoi.

Day 11: Hanoi – Unforgettable moment in an authentic village – Ninh Binh (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, check out and take the road to Ha Nam province which is located about 70km from Hanoi. You will arrive at the village after about a 1h30 car ride. First, visit a local market and then the village which is famous for making rice noodles.
Light lunch at your host's house.
In the afternoon, continue to Ninh Binh. You will arrive after about a 1h30 car ride. Check-in and then cycle around the local villages on a bike provided by the hotel. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 12: Ninh Binh visits (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, take a bamboo boat for an unforgettable 2 hours boat trip in a beautiful and enchanting natural landscape. You will pass through the three caves of Tam Coc which pierce the mountains -a sublime and relaxing experience! Then visit the Bich Dong Pagoda.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, transfer to visit Phat Diem Cathedral which is located 28km from Ninh Binh city on an area of about 22 ha, and in the village of Phat Diem. It was built in 1891 by a Vietnamese priest, Mr. Pierre Tran Luc, better known as Father Six. This cathedral features unusual architecture with interesting pagodas and communal houses tonkinois. The architectural ensemble of the cathedral includes a large church, five small churches, campanile Phuong Dinh – the masterpiece of this architectural ensemble, a pond and three artificial rock caves. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 13: Ninh Binh – Hanoi visits (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, check-out and return to Hanoi. Stop on the way to visit Long Bien Market which is installed under the eponymous bridge and is the most fascinating market in the city. This market is ranked by the US magazine Condé Nast Traveler in its list of the 7 most attractive markets in the world. Long Bien Bridge, formerly called Paul Doumer Bridge, is a famous bridge in northern Vietnam to cross the Red River. Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, pay a visit to the Tran Quoc pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest pagoda, located on a small island of West Lake.
The cyclo (rickshaw) ride is an excellent way to experience Hanoi at close hand as the atmosphere is lively and sociable. Your local driver will pedal you off, behind your guide, into narrow streets of the Old Quarter, known for its ‘36 streets of 36 wares’. The 36 narrow streets of the Old Quarter, unchanged since the 15th century, bear names that reflect the business once conducted there; silk street, rice street, paper street, lacquerware street, and jewellery street. Explore the fascinating maze of back streets, discover your bargaining power, and come away with unusual items that will always remind you of this memorable afternoon.
