Your Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Hanoi

Arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, where you'll be met by your tour guide and transferred to your hotel in the city centre (check-in from 2 pm onwards).


Overnight in Hanoi.


Optional: Massage at Sen Garden and Spa – Private VIP room (1 person/room) – transfer with driver.



After breakfast at your hotel, set off for a half-day exploring the key highlights of the city. Visit the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh, the nation’s founder and affectionately known to the Vietnamese as 'Uncle Ho'.


Your first stop will be historic Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, an imposing monument built to serve as the final resting place of Uncle Ho.


Continue walking through the beautiful botanical garden of the Presidential Palace to visit Uncle Ho’s humble house, styled after a rural Vietnamese stilt house, reflecting his simple lifestyle. Visit the One Pillar Pagoda, built in 1049, which resembles a lotus blossom.


Next up is the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam. Constructed in the 11th century, this stunning temple is a rare example of traditional Vietnamese architecture. Enjoy lunch in a restaurant.


Hanoi's Old Quarter, known simply as the 36 Streets, is a must-see. Dating back to the 13th century, explore the maze of backstreets, some of which are only wide enough for one person.


Walk around Dong Xuan Market, and continue to O Quan Chuong, the only one of the five gates that once surrounded Thang Long citadel.


If time permits, visit Long Bien market under the bridge of the same name, renowned for being one of the prettiest in the world.

Day 3-4: Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Ha Long Bay

Morning departure from downtown Hanoi for a scenic drive to Ninh Binh, famous for amazing karst mountains, misty caves, and historical relics. Travel past lush rice fields and abundant fruit farms along the banks of the Red River Delta.


Make a stop at a rural village and visit the local market. Meet a local family and learn how to make rice paper in the traditional way. You'll be treated to a special lunch of rice noodles and fresh produce, before bidding farewell to the villages, and making your way to Ninh Binh. After checking in to your hotel, you'll have the afternoon free cycle around and chat with the locals.


Continue your drive to Ninh Binh, hop on your bike, and take a gentle ride through more villages. Afterwards, a rowing boat will take you to the Van Long Nature Reserve (the Van Long Biological Conservation Area), an exceptional natural site. The trip will last around 1 1/2 hours, giving you the perfect opportunity to take in the serene natural atmosphere with karstic rocks emerging from the water, and birds flocking at the water's edge. Spend the rest of your day at leisure in your hotel.


Overnight in Ninh Binh.



After breakfast at your hotel, you'll be driven for approx. 4 hours to Ha Long Bay. Embark on a boat, where a welcome lunch will be provided, and cruise around the islands and islets in the bay. Dinner on board. In the evening, the night fishing service is available on request.

Day 5-6: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Da Nang – Hoi An

In the morning, watch the sunrise and practice Tai Chi on the sundeck. Sail through the bay while having breakfast, passing rocks and islets, caves and the fishing villages. Disembark around 11 am / 11: 30 am. Transfer directly to Noi Bai Airport, for the flight to Da Nang. On arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel, with the afternoon free to spend at your leisure.

Overnight in Hoi An.



After breakfast, your guide will pick you up to visit My Son Sanctuary, Holy Land of the Champa Kingdom. If time permits, visit a local fish market, and village where the famous nuoc mam (fermented fish sauce) is produced. Arrive at My Son Sanctuary in good time to enjoy a traditional performance by Cham dancers. Visit a group of ruined Hindu temple ruins and remains in the My Son Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch in a restaurant.


In the afternoon, walk around the town of Hoi An and its harbour. Follow narrow streets lined with houses of Chinese, Japanese, French and European architecture and visit the many sights: the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, the Phuc Kien Meeting Room, and the local fish market.


In the town, visit art galleries and traditional tailors' producing made-to-measure garments. Visit a craftsman’s house in the old districts, where you'll learn about the history and process of lantern-making.

Day 7: Hoi An - Hue

Day 7: Hoi An - Hue

Breakfast at your hotel, followed by the morning free to relax at the pool or on the beach. Explore the city where you'll find local artisans and tailor-made clothes at fair prices. You may wish to go to An Bang beach, located 4km east of the Old Town of Hoi An, which is very quiet with few visitors.


In the afternoon, meet at your hotel at 1:00 pm. You'll be driven to Hue. En route, cross the Hai Van pass which offers a superb view over the central coast and the Lang Co beach. Stop at An Bang fishing village, known as the 'City of Ghosts' after the elaborate ancestral tombs. Arrival in Hue, where you'll have free time to explore.

Breakfast at your hotel, then take the road to visit the Thanh Toan bridge. Returning to the city centre, you'll visit the Imperial Citadel, a World Heritage Site, including Hat Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, and Thai Hoa Palace.


Hue is the capital of Buddhism in Vietnam, with more than 20 300-year-old pagodas and hundreds of temples from the 19th century. Visit a historic hilltop pagoda with magnificent views.


After strolling around the pagoda, have a cup of tea and meet the BUddhist nuns, learning more about their daily life and charitable works. Take part in a prayer ceremony for a good life, and eat a vegetarian lunch made from natural ingredients.


In the afternoon, tour An Hien Garden House, originally the residence of Emperor Duc Duc’s 18th daughter. Continue your visit to Thien Mu pagoda, one of the oldest places of worship in Hue. Finish your day with a boat trip on Perfume River, relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Return to your hotel after the tour.

Day 9: Hue - Ho Chi Minh City

Breakfast at your hotel, and transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh. On arrival, your guide and driver will take you to your hotel to drop off your luggage (rooms are available from 2 pm). You'll visit the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, the colonial districts and the Ben Thanh Market.


Optional: Motorbike tour (with professional driver) and dinner with a local family (extra fee).

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.



Set off for a day exploring Ben Tre province, the gateway to the Delta, by a charming Apricot Boat which has a traditional riverboat style. The slow journey has great views of beautiful natural landscape filled by tropical fruit farms and rice paddies.


Excursions on the shore include the home of a fruit farmer, the owner of a family-run business where coconuts are used to make candies and crafts.


Travel on the narrow village lanes by traditional tuk-tuk or bicycle, passing canals and orchards. Take a trip in a traditional rowing boat along the network of narrow canals typical of the Mekong Delta.


Lunch on Mekong Delta specialities at the peaceful Apricot Riverside restaurant and then head back to Ho Chi Minh City.

After breakfast, relax before you check out AT your hotel (check-out time is 12 pm) and head to the airport for your return flight home.

Mui Ne Extension in 4 or 6 Nights

Breakfast at your hotel, and enjoy free time to see Ho Chi Minh before your transfers to Mui Ne for your seaside stay. 


Famous for its enormous red and white sand dunes, Mui Ne has a pretty stretch of coastline and a charming original fishing village. Visit the Hoi Tinh pagoda, sun yourself on the beach, and swim in the clear waters. The area is renowned for excellent kitesurfing and watersports.

DAY 12 TO 14 / DAY 12 TO 16: MUI NE

Enjoy free time at the beach and enjoy the hotel's facilities.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, with free time to relax until you transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport, Ho Chi Minh for the return flight (the route takes about 5 hours).

Important note: the departure flight from Saigon must be after 4 pm.
