Day 5: Siem Reap - Angkor Temples (Breakfast / Lunch)
Next, take the car on the less travelled roads. Cross the jungle passing through local villages and local shops. It's a day that will allow you to explore some of the most beautiful temples of Angkor.
The tour begins with the ancient 12th-century royal capital: Angkor Thom. Here you will see the royal enclosure, Phimeanakas, The Elephant Terrace and the Leper King's Terrace and The Temple of Bayon, a unique site with its 54 towers decorated with more than 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara.
You will continue by visiting the fabulous Ta Prohm which is kissed by the roots of trees and gigantic creepers. Then you will reach the famous temple of Angkor Wat. This site, which belongs to the UNESCO world heritage since 1992, is famous for its beauty and splendour. Angkor Wat also has the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, running along the walls of the outer gallery and telling stories of Hindu mythology. Spend the night in Siem Reap.
Indulge in breakfast at the hotel before transferring to the Pier at Tonle Sap Lake. Board a motorboat to Kompong Phlukyou, a floating village. You then take a little tour of the village where you can observe the peaceful local life, then stop and visit the pagoda of the fishing village.
After visiting the Pagoda, embark on a flat-bottomed dugout for a walk through the trees in the flooded forest. Fishponds installed through the forest will remind you that the activity of the village is mainly fishing. After this unusual walk, return to the village. Then take the boat to return to the pier for your transfer to Siem Reap.
The boat trip on the Tonle Sap is not recommended during the dry season (March to July) due to lack of water to navigate.
During this period, this tour can be replaced by visiting the village of Siem Reap (itinerary below):
Depart in a Tuk Tuk to explore one of the local villages where you can observe the daily activities of the inhabitants. You will take a walk in the village to meet the villagers with friendly smiles. Then unknown by browsing the small aisles of a local market, you will meet the locals who work there, while discovering flavours and scents. Lunch in a restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the National Museum of Siem Reap. Then you will visit the Silk Farm founded by an NGO in Puok with the aim of reviving Cambodian silk productions. You will continue to visit the Chantiers Ecole - a craft center located in the centre of the city (founded in 1992 with the mission of reviving the ancient Khmer art), which will be an opportunity to meet the young people who are learning sculpture, wooden work, weaving and stone carving.
Have breakfast at your hotel and have free time for relaxation or to explore the city on your own before being transferred to the airport for the flight to Da Nang. Upon your arrival, your driver-guide will pick you up and drive you to your hotel in Hoi An where you will stay the night.
Day 8: Hoi An (Breakfast / Lunch)
Breakfast at the hotel before leaving to discover Hoi An by hiking around the city and its wonderful harbour. Follow the narrow streets lined by houses with Chinese, Japanese, French and European architecture. Visit the many sights of the city: the 400-year-old Japanese Bridge, the Phuc Kien Meeting Room, the local fish market, art galleries and tailor shops. You will continue then by visiting the house of a craftsman in the old districts. Here you will receive a brief introduction to the history of the lanterns and will attend the many stages of production. In the afternoon, you will visit the village of Tra Que and the village of Cam Thanh by car or bicycle.
Have breakfast and then your guide and driver will pick you up and drive you to Hue (about 200km from Hoi An, 3h drive). On arrival, you will embark on the boat for the cruise on the Perfume River, then visit the Thien Mu Pagoda "The Heavenly Lady" built on the edge of the Perfume River, which is recognisable from afar thanks to its octagonal tower.
According to legend, a red-clad celestial lady appeared and asked the local lord to build a pagoda to control the underground forces and dominate the area. Visit the Imperial Citadel (World Cultural Heritage) including the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, and King Minh Mang's Tomb. You take the road back to Hoi An where you will stay the night.

Take a boat trip on the Ben Tre River, one of the tributaries of the Mekong River to discover several artisanal activities. Visit a traditional brick factory whose printing and cooking are always done in a traditional style. Visit a coconut processing workshop located along the canal.
Depart by bike or tuk tuk on the shaded paths and along the rice fields and vegetable gardens before having lunch at the restaurant.
In the afternoon, take a rowing boat along the stream to the port of Hùng Vuong, then drive to Saigon to spend the night.
Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast / Lunch)
After breakfast, your guide will come to pick you up at your hotel and take you to visit the Cu Chi tunnels, which are 70 kilometers northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. This underground network was created in 1948 to help Viet Minh fight the French. It is a city where Vietnamese lived to protect themselves and organise their fight. During the war against the Americans, the entire Cu Chi area was designated as a free firing zone and heavily bombed. From 1988, two sections of tunnels were opened for visitors.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Reunification Palace, Chinatown with Thien Hau Pagoda and the Fito Museum of Traditional Medicine. Retrun to your hotel in Saigon to spend the night.
