If time permits, you will have the chance to enjoy a very special traditional Vietnamese massage session at the Sen Garden (this service has several stages and lasts about 2 hours).

Afterwards. enjoy free time to relax and sample dinner in a local restaurant. Please Note: For those who arrive late, you will not have enough time to experience the massage on this day. We will move this service to the second day, however, we have to remove some of the excursions of the second day to accommodate this. Overnight stay in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi (Breakfast and Lunch included)
The day starts with visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh – the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and afternoons as closed), and housed on stilts. This complex also comprises the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. After that, visit Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature & Vietnam’s first university). Constructed in the 11th century, the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam's past.

After lunch in a local restaurant, visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology which offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups across Vietnam. Then, discover the daily life of the Hanoian with a cyclo (rickshaws ride) or an electric car drive around the Old Quarter streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about legend of the lake and visit the Ngoc Son Temple before heading back to hotel. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
After breakfast between 8 am - 8.30 am, depart from your hotel for a three and a half hour transfer to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage, where thousands of spectacular limestone islets and grottoes rise from the clear emerald Gulf of Tonkin. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink on board prior to your check-in.

A lunch with fresh seafood will be served while the boat is cruising through many stone islets, floating villages, and small beaches. Visit a floating fishing village, talk and meet with local villagers prior to your swimming, and enjoy free time on the sundeck. Dinner will be served when the boat anchors off at a quiet designated overnight area. Day 7: Hue (Breakfast and Lunch included)

The tunnel complex was dug in 1948 for the guerrillas to hide in from French air and ground sweeps. It also served as a communication route for food and weapons as well as hospitals and living quarters for guerrilla fighters throughout the American war. Visit the underground villages to better understand the tunnels’ history, life in the tunnels and the Vietnamese’s resilience during the combat. Return to the city centre for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Chinatown, the Thien Hau Pagoda and the Fito Traditional Medicine Museum. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Entry Requirements

You must ensure you have a valid passport to travel on.

Until 30 June 2021, ‘British Citizen’ passport holders travelling for tourism can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days (counting the dates of entry and exit) without a visa. If you have a different type of British nationality – for example ‘British national (overseas)’ you’ll need to get a visa before entering Vietnam.

If you’re planning to make multiple visits in a short period to Vietnam, consider applying for a multiple entry visa. You can’t get another 15-day visa waiver within 30 days of your last visit - you’ll need to get a visa or an e-visa to re-enter the country.

For longer durations of 16 to 30 days (for example if you arrive in Vietnam on 23rd August and leave on 7th September), you must get an e-visa online before you travel. The use of an e-visa is limited to certain entry/exit points which you must select at the time of application. E-visas are only applicable to ‘British Citizen’ passport holders.
