Your Tour Itinerary —
Our members will follow the itinerary as detailed below.
After a long flight, you will arrive in Hanoi. Your guide will meet you at Noi Bai Airport and transfer you to the hotel in the city centre. If time permits, you will have the chance to enjoy a very special traditional Vietnamese massage session at the Sen Garden (this service has several stages and lasts about 2 hours).
Afterwards. enjoy free time to relax and sample dinner in a local restaurant. Please Note: For those who arrive late, you will not have enough time to experience the massage on this day. We will move this service to the second day, however, we have to remove some of the excursions of the second day to accommodate this. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi (Breakfast and Lunch included)
The day starts with visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh – the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and afternoons as closed), and housed on stilts. This complex also comprises the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. After that, visit Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature & Vietnam’s first university). Constructed in the 11th century, the gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam's past.
After lunch in a local restaurant, visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology which offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups across Vietnam. Then, discover the daily life of the Hanoian with a cyclo (rickshaws ride) or an electric car drive around the Old Quarter streets which were named after the specific goods once offered for sale. Stop at Hoan Kiem Lake to learn about legend of the lake and visit the Ngoc Son Temple before heading back to hotel. Overnight stay in Hanoi.
After breakfast between 8 am - 8.30 am, depart from your hotel for a three and a half hour transfer to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage, where thousands of spectacular limestone islets and grottoes rise from the clear emerald Gulf of Tonkin. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink on board prior to your check-in.
A lunch with fresh seafood will be served while the boat is cruising through many stone islets, floating villages, and small beaches. Visit a floating fishing village, talk and meet with local villagers prior to your swimming, and enjoy free time on the sundeck. Dinner will be served when the boat anchors off at a quiet designated overnight area. Please Note: The itinerary is subject to change without prior notice according to weather conditions or to availability of boat. Overnight on board in Ha Long Bay.
Day 4: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi or Hai Phong - Da Nang - Hoi An (Brunch included)
A Tai Chi class is available on the sundeck for early risers, before breakfast is served while the boat continues cruising around Ha Long Bay. Make the most of yourself while cruising through many islets. Return to your boat to cruise towards the wharf. Your vehicle will be ready awaiting your disembarkation at approximately 10.30 for a direct transfer from Ha Long back to the airport in Hanoi or in Hai Phong for your flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to Hoi An. Check in your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
After breakfast, take a guided walking tour around Hoi An's ancient town. Visit the Japanese covered bridge, the Chinese assembly hall, a typical Vietnamese merchant’s house, one of the interesting museums and the local market. There’re numerous art galleries, souvenirs and tailor shops where you can get some express made-to-order clothes if you like.
The next visit is to the home of a craftsman in the old streets. Here you’ll have a brief introduction into the history, shape and color of the local lanterns as well as a lesson in the stages of making them. After that you can make your own lantern, decorate, pack and keep it as a souvenir of your time in Hoi An. After lunch in a local restaurant, visit the village of organic gardens and the fishing village of Tra Nhieu by bike or car according to your preference. Overnight stay in Hoi An.
Day 6: Hoi An - Hue (Breakfast included)
After breakfast, enjoy free time on your own to relax or discover Hoi An. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Hue. On the way there, you will cross the Hai Van Pass which offers a superb panorama of the central coastline and the beach of Lang Co – one of the most beautiful beaches of Vietnam – from its summit. You will also have the chance to visit a traditional fishing village. Arrive in Hue after 3 hours of driving and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Hue.
In the morning, transfer to visit the Thanh Toan Bridge which attracts lots of tourists because of its old architecture and historical and cultural values. This tile-roofed bridge has been an inspiration to many local people and travelers, with its poems still being handed down or engraved right on the bridge. After that, head back to the city centre to visit the Imperial Citadel where Kings of Vietnam’s last feudal dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945, including the Flag Tower, Nine Holy Cannons, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Nine Dynastic Urns, and the Forbidden Purple City.
After lunch at a local restaurant, take a car ride to the port where the cruise will take you upstream on the peaceful Perfume River (Huong River) to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. Dating back from the year 1601, Thin Mu is home to many young people who want to try out and learn from life as a monk. You will then continue your boat trip to visit the King Minh Mang Tomb that is located on the left bank of the Huong River, which represents the perfect harmony between nature and architecture. Minh Mang King (1821–1840) boasted to have 64 princesses and 78 princes. On the way back, admire the beautiful landscapes and the sunset. The tour will end at your hotel. Overnight stay in Hue.
Day 8: Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast included)
After breakfast at your hotel, enjoy free time until you are transferred to the airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will pick you up and bring you to the hotel to check in and relax. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
Enjoy a 2-hour-drive north west of Ho Chi Minh City to the Cu Chi tunnels, through urbanised areas and the typically lush southern Vietnamese countryside. The tunnel complex was dug in 1948 for the guerrillas to hide in from French air and ground sweeps. It also served as a communication route for food and weapons as well as hospitals and living quarters for guerrilla fighters throughout the American war. Visit the underground villages to better understand the tunnels’ history, life in the tunnels and the Vietnamese’s resilience during the combat. Return to the city centre for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Chinatown, the Thien Hau Pagoda and the Fito Traditional Medicine Museum. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Can Tho (Breakfast and Lunch included)
After around 2.5 hours of driving from busting Ho Chi Minh City, you will arrive in Ben Tre. You will then board a cruise, where you will see how local peel off coconut husk with simple tools. Next is a tuk-tuk ride, which will take you to a local family who will be making coconut leaf swobs. Meet your friendly host, and gain an insight into local traditional methods to make a swob.
Continue with a relaxing bike ride on the lush and ever green rural roads. Cycle through peaceful villages, meet friendly locals, and feel the tranquil scenes of rural life. Next, you will take a rowing boat through the crisscross canals. Relax while observing the slow pace of Mekong Delta life. Lunch will be served with Mekong specialties at a local restaurant. Relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere before transferring to the pier where the waiting driver will take you by road to Can Tho – capital of the Mekong Delta. Overnight stay in Can Tho.
Enjoy an early morning cruise along the small and picturesque tributaries by motorboat, where you will see the Cai Rang Floating Market – the busiest but nicest market, where heaps of rowing boats are docked. See the beautiful scenery and daily activities of the locals. You will cross a few villages to visit a Rice Mill or the Ba Cong Garden. Disembark at Ninh Kieu wharf and visit the Ong pagoda and a local market. Continue your ride to Ho Chi Minh City, and stop en route to have lunch. Check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City - Departure (Breakfast included)
After breakfast, enjoy free time before you're transferred to the airport for your return flight home.

The spectacular temple complex of Angkor Wat that draws visitors here; offering days of jaw dropping architecture. Beyond the temples, Siem Reap is also a great place to discover Cambodian culture with plenty of museums, street food markets, and quirky cafes. Head to the floating markets of Tonle Sap Lake, which is home to a small community that have lived along the water for generations. You will visit the western entrance to Angkor Thom - to be discovered by the mass of tourists:
- The ancient capital of Angkor Thom (in the 12th century)
- See the southern entrance, Temple of Bayon, unique for its 54 ornate towers More than 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara
- The royal enclosure, Phimeanakas
- The terrace of elephants and the terrace of the leper king
You will continue to the fabulous Ta Prohm embraced by the roots of huge trees and gigantic creepers.
Lunch in a restaurant In the afternoon, visit the famous temple of Angkor Wat, World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat is the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, running along the walls of the outer gallery and telling stories of Hindu mythology, transfer to your hotel. End of the excursion.
Banteay Srei - Banteay Srame - Banteay Kdei (full day)
Banteay Srei: Charm of this temple lies in its compact size, its remarkable state of preservation and the excellence of its decorative sculpture.
Banteay Srame: The walls of pink sandstone are decorated with sculptures and bas-reliefs, which are among the most beautiful achievements that Angkor has to offer.
