Days 1 - 3
DAY 1 : LOS ANGELES
Touch down in LAX and check in to your hotel, ready to explore the entertainment capital of the United States. Home to the rich and famous and the legendary Hollywood sign, this unqiue city is brimming with culture and life.
Take a stroll along the Walk of Fame, and visit Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the best-preserved of the movie palaces from Hollywood’s glamourous golden era. Drive through Beverly Hills and glimpse the luxurious entrances to exclusive homes.
DAY 2 : LOS ANGELES - SANTA BARBARA - SANTA MARIA (AROUND 257 KM)
Leave lovely Los Angeles and start the drive towards Santa Barbara, resting on the beautiful Pacific Coast. Stroll through Santa Barbara Botanic Gardens and admire spectacular flora, or hike a scenic nature trail in Los Padres National Forest. Hit East Beach for some prime peoplewatching, or head to Arroyo Burro for fishing and whale watching. Visit the fantastic collection at Santa Barbara Museum of Art, explore the Old Mission, and sample fresh seafood on Stearn’s Wharf.
Continue to Santa Maria for an overnight stay.
DAY 3 : SANTA MARIA - MONTEREY - SAN FRANCISCO (AROUND 472 KM)
Depart Santa Maria for a lush drive up the Pacific Coast toward Monterey. Feel swept away by the stunning Pacific Coast panoramas, and spend the afternoon exploring artisan Monterey. Founded in 1770 as one of the first European outposts on the west coast, many of the early American Colonial buildings still stand. Monterey Bay is a fantastic place to whale watch and tours are offered locally. Consider taking the famously scenic 17-mile drive up the coast, admiring lavish mansions along the way, and stop at renowned Pebble Beach.
Continue on to San Francisco for a two night stay.
Days 4, 5 & 6
DAY 4 : SAN FRANCISCO
Enjoy exploring the city on foot and by cable car. Visit the curious curves of Lombard Street, gaze out at Alcatraz, Angel Island, Coit Tower, Yerba Buena Island and the Bay Bridge from the intersection of Hyde and Lombard, or slow things down with a visit to Muir Woods National Monument, home to some of the tallest trees in the world!
As dusk falls take a trip to Chinatown, where exotic ingredients, silks, jade are fantastic food can all be found in the lively streets.
DAY 5 : SAN FRANCISCO - YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK - FRESNO (AROUND 438 KM)
Leave the hustle and bustle of San Francisco behind and drive toward Yosemite National Park, where majestic waterfalls tumble over towering granite cliffs. Admire the beauty of the extensive high-mountain wilderness of peaks, rivers, and meadows, and groves of giant sequoia trees. Extensive visitor activities, facilities, and services are available.
JOUR 6 : FRESNO - LAS VEGAS (AROUND 640 KM)
Leave the charming Yosemite area and drive towards Nevada, where the bright lights of Las Vegas have something to offer everyone. From outrageous live shows to the excitement of casinos, the action never stops from morning to night! Stroll down Las Vegas Boulevard, also known as 'the strip', and gaze up at the wondrous displays of the huge hotels. Take a trip to the top of the Stratosphere hotel tower, the tallest building west of the Mississippi River, and enjoy dinner at the Top of the World, or visit one of the many restaurants boasting world-renowned chefs!
Visit the iconic interiors of premium hotels such as Caesars Palace, The Venetian and Paris, admire the 12 million twinkling lights of Fremont Street, and don't miss the incredible nightly fountain show at the Bellagio Hotel.
Days 7, 8 & 9
DAY 7 : LAS VEGAS - LOS ANGELES (AROUND 439 KM)
Depart the glitz of Las Vegas and return to Los Angeles, stopping at Santa Monica Pier. Built in 1916, it was once known as the finish line for the legendary Route 66. Stop by the unforgettable Universal Studios for an insight into the history and magic of some of your favourite films, with a helping of thrilling rides, shows and attractions! In the evening, enjoy Universal City Walk, brimming with restaurants and nightclubs.
DAY 8 : LOS ANGELES
Take this final day to explore the City of Angels, do a spot of shopping on Rodeo Drive, or even continue the fun at Disneyland.
DAY 9 : DEPARTURE
After returning your rental car to the agency it's time for your flight home from LAX, after a wonderful tour of The Golden State.

Car Hire:
For the freedom to explore your destination at your own pace, make the most of included car hire with your booking. Please note you cannot be guaranteed a specific make of car within a certain group. The lead name on the booking will be confirmed as the named driver. The named driver must present a credit card in their name when collecting the car (credit cards in other names will not be accepted). The named driver must also present a full valid driving licence on the collection of the vehicle and in some cases, a credit card or cash deposit will be required. Please ensure that you check your car hire documents carefully once received as this will advise if there are any taxes/charges to be paid locally as well as potential mileage restrictions. You can't stay in Los Angeles without a trip to Hollywood! Walk in the footsteps of your favourite Actor or Singer and look for their stars on the famous Walk of Fame. For even more magic, be sure to visit Universal Studios, a huge theme park inspired by the most famous films.
