It is impossible to stay indoors here when there is so much amazing scenery to explore! Sail, surf, walk the cliffs and explore the local beaches. The South West Coast Path which passes straight through the village.
Just three miles away from Gorran Haven you will find Mevagissey, an attractive harbour town with colourful fishing boats, interesting shops, old ‘smugglers’ pubs and restaurants. Gorran Haven is also a gateway to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula with the picture perfect coastal havens of Portloe, Portscatho, St Just and St Mawes, which is a popular destination for yacht sailors.
Or if you want to explore further afield, check out the world famous Eden Project which is a 30-minute drive from the hotel, or a little closer to home - the magnificent Lost Gardens of Heligan.
If you fancy a round of golf while you’re here, the closest course is the much loved Porthpean Golf Club. Just 40 minutes away is St Mellion Golf Course with fairways and greens designed by Jack Nicklaus, or Trevose Golf Course near Padstow is also worth a special trip for great scenic golfing.
If you have a taste for adventure you can try surfing, coasteering, kayaking, mountain biking or ride Europe’s longest zip wire through a disused quarry!

Gwineas Bar & Bistro
Named after the rocks which jut out of the sea just offshore from the beach, this modern bar and bistro is located on the site of an old inn, where villagers have met for hundreds of years.
The food is delicious, making the most of locally sourced, seasonal produce such as crab, mussels and of course the famous Clotted Cream tea!

Your Journey —
From St Austell, head out on the B3273 past Pentewen Sands Holiday Park and continue into Mevagissey. Continuing into Mevagissey stay on the B3273 and turn left into Chapel Square then turn right into Church Street. You will soon be driving up Polkirt Hill which will lead you out of Mevagissey and past The Rising Sun Inn. Continue along the Polkirt Hill road for approximately 2 miles and then turn left onto Trewollock Lane for half a mile. Then turn left onto Chute Lane and The Llawnroc Hotel is on the left hand side.
From Truro, follow A390, heading towards St Austell/Mevagissey. At Trewithen roundabout, take second exit staying on A390. Turn right onto Bosillion Lane, bear right onto B3287. Continue past St Ewe and into Gorran, where you will drive through the small village past The Barley Sheaf Inn and Gorran Stores on your right hand side. The road bears to the left and you will then turn right onto Bell Hill towards Gorran Haven. As you drive down the lane towards Gorran Haven there is a fork and you must bear left onto Cooks Level. Continue onto Chute Lane and The Llawnroc Hotel is on the left hand side.
