Located in a recently renovated 17th Century Georgian Pub, The Hare & Hounds is a charming boutique Inn ideal for a weekend escape. The hotel has been elegantly decorated with equestrian world and historic dignitary themes running throughout. The intimate rooms feature charm and character with a contemporary twist on a traditional coaching inn.

Step back in time by visiting Highclere Castle, also known as Downton Abbey in the hit TV series! The castle is only a 9-minute drive away and is open on selected dates, allowing you to step into the lives of the fictional Crawley family. The Elizabethan manor house, Shaw House, gives a window into Newbury's history and is only a 5-minute drive from the hotel. Your stay at The Hare & Hounds is sure to be relaxing and culturally enriching.
