Your Destination —
While you're there, visit the National Football Museum, where you can explore the world's finest collection of football artefacts and archives in one of football's greatest cities. Or try the People's History Museum, charting the history of the struggle for equality and democracy in the UK, perfectly reflecting Manchester's radical roots.
And a trip to Manchester isn't complete without popping into the Manchester Cathedral, housing a gorgeous interior with the best late medieval woodwork in the north - the spire and the ceiling are splendid and full of life.
Then, indulge in some of the city's best shopping, absorbing both vast shopping centres and the smaller local markets. Visit The Arndale Centre for your high street favourites, or head to the Northern Quarter, where you can get anything from vintage clothes shops to independent record and book stores, and edgy fashion labels to quirky gift shops.
Your Hotel —
Just for you: entrance to the private club 'Brass'
Everything at Hotel Gotham, from the magnificent architecture to timeless décor, is designed to take the breath away. Many of the points of reference come from the rich history of the building. It was once a bank, so the ornate detailing, polished wooden counters and period architectural flourishes have been retained and enhanced. There are deep velvets, furs, leather and traditional metals.
Having 'set the scene' it was only natural to add a few characters. You'll notice several around the building playing a part and adding to the personality of the place and the charm of the experience.
The hotel’s design and branding conflates the grand architecture of King Street (it occupies an imposing, six-storey Edwin Lutyens-designed art deco building), with glamorous 1920s’ Manhattan.

They create an environment which immediately transports you into a different world.
There is inspiration from the golden age of travel, for details such as vintage suitcases, buckled belts and hat boxes. The in-room leather-bound hospitality unit takes its cues from a classic 1930s travel trunk with finely stitched detailing and antique brass finishes.

Brass Bar and Club
The Brass Bar and Club on the top floor of Hotel Gotham has drawn inspiration from the building's former use as a bank. On entry to the Club guests pass through two vault-like doors into a space with restored original glazed decanter and brief case light fittings.
All guests staying at Hotel Gotham have 24-hour membership of Brass where bar food, salads, sandwiches and puddings are served, as well as Champagne and cocktails.
