Welcome to the newest addition to Appleby Manor Hotel & Garden Spa 4* - the wonderful Bistro 1871. The Bistro was created to compliment the existing fine dining restaurant and benefits from a fantastic view over the Eden Valley with views of Appleby Castle to the Lake District fells in the distance.
Here, there is an emphasis on using locally sourced produce with Cumbrian Fell Bred, Lakes Speciality Foods, Shaw's of Wigton, Appleby Creamery and Grapevine Wine Service among local suppliers.

Aqua Thermal Journey
A truly warming and therapeutic experience. Each heat experience is taken in turn in order to slowly raise your body temperature whilst you relax, reaping the holistic and therapeutic benefits of water and heat, leaving you feeling refreshed and invigorated. Your experience begins in the Aroma Salt inhalation Room, a warm, gentle heat.
Time to enjoy the relaxing Pedidarium, then on to the steam room, before finishing with the intense heat of the Sauna. Enjoy the feature rain sky shower for an invigorating finish. From there you can soothe your aching muscles in the Hydrotherapy Pool, This includes 4 unique water experiences and underwater lounges to lay on, with perfectly placed water jets to ease away aches and pains, powerful neck fountains to work on neck and shoulder tensions and bubble pools to sit and stand in while the water jets massage your body.
