Your Vietnam Itinerary —
After a long flight, you will arrive in the thousand-year-old city of Hanoi. Your driver will transfer you from Noi Bai Airport to your hotel in the city centre. Spend the rest of the day at leisure and enjoy an overnight stay in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi (Breakfast/Lunch Included)
After breakfast, the day will start with a visit to the complex dedicated to Ho Chi Minh - the nation’s founder, containing Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (viewed from outside on Mondays, Fridays and every afternoons due to closure), and the house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda. Next up, visit Tran Quoc Pagoda - Hanoi’s oldest pagoda on the bank of West Lake & Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university which was constructed in the 11th century.
Following lunch at a local restaurant, the afternoon will be spent with a visit to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (closed every Monday), which offers an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups of Vietnam. Then transfer to the Old Quarters and visit the Saint Joseph Cathedral, the oldest church in Hanoi and Vietnam. Overnight in Hanoi.
After breakfast, check-out and meet your guide for a transfer to Ha Nam which located 70km to the south of Hanoi. Arriving after about 1:30, visit a local village to meet friendly villagers and see how locals make rice noodles and patties. This village has yet to be known by mass tourism. Enjoy a light lunch with their local product, rice noodles and patties. Continue the road to Ninh Binh and have lunch at a local restaurant upon arrival. Transfer to your hotel to check-in and relax. In the afternoon, take the road to Nham site which is still a little-known site for tourists to take a traditional boat trip in the poetic landscapes of Hai Nham situated among limestone peaks. On the way, stop to visit the impressive But cave. Continue the trip to Bich Dong pagoda (Jade pagoda) located on the side of Bich Dong Mountain and Ngu Nhac Son Range. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
Day 4: Ninh Binh – Ha Long Bay (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Included)
After breakfast, you will depart by road to Ha Long Bay, a world heritage site of outstanding natural beauty. Travel through the rich agricultural lands of the Red River Delta and rice paddy landscapes, water buffaloes, daily life of Vietnamese villages. You arrive at Ha Long Bay after 4 hours’ drive. Check-in and lunch on board. The cruise goes through many rocks and islets in various forms, and make several stops to visit surprising caves. Dinner and overnight on board. Note: This itinerary is subject to change due to boat availability or weather condition without prior notice
In the morning, continue the cruise to discover the beauties of the bay before returning to dock. The junk heads towards the port of Ha Long. The light lunch aboard the junk in the form of a brunch will close this magnificent cruise. All the crew will come to greet you and thank you when you disembark at the port at about 11 am, where the driver is waiting for you for a car drive back to Noi Bai airport in Hanoi for your flight to other destination.
Your Cambodia Itinerary —
On arrival at the Siem Reap international airport, meet and transfer to check in at the hotel. Free time at leisure. (no guide, no vehicle). Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 2: Siem Reap
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, start to discover Angkor Thom, the capital city of the Angkor temples which until the fifteenth century served as a religious center.
In the afternoon, visit the temple Ta Prohm, one of the most beautiful temples and the most famous of the region, as it has been (almost) untouched since its discovery, and retains much of its mystery. Visit Angkor Wat, the city of the ancient temples of Cambodia is one of the wonders of the eastern world. Masterpieces of decorative details as well as architectural style, its impressive ruins survive as a witness to the spectacular buildings of the greatest civilization in Southeast Asia. It is a replica of the universe according to the Hindu mythology. It is composed of the Mount Meru, surrounded by the continents and the oceans. The five famous towers of Angkor Wat rise into the sky, a geometric arrangement of galleries, adorned with the beliefs and images of stone celestial dancers, Apsara, as well as portals, rooms, and courses. Accommodation at the hotel.
Note: During the visit of the tower Bakan of Angkor Wat temple, visitors are required to wear appropriate clothing, covering shoulders and knees as this temple is still considered as a sacred site (no short, miniskirt or short pants). Children under twelve years of age are not allowed to go up in this tower. It will be closed on the sabbath days buddhist days of religious buddhists, four days per month according to the lunar calendar.
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Banteay Srei temple, a tiny temple complex is considered by many visitors as the highest achieving art and architecture of classical civilisation of Angkor. The glory of Banteay Srei is the beauty of its sculpture and decoration. The pink sandstone used in its buildings makes this temple more beautiful.
Note: During the visit to the temple of Banteay Srei temple, visitors are required to wear appropriate clothing, covering shoulders and knees as this temple is still considered as a sacred site (no short, miniskirt or short pants).
Stop en route to visit Banteay Samre, a Hindu temple built in the style of Angkor, and dedicated to an officer of the court from the twelfth century. Afternoon free at leisure (no guide or vehicle). Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 4: Siem Reap - Phnom Penh
Breakfast at the hotel. You will be transferred to Phnom Penh by domestic flight. Upon your arrival in Phnom Penh, check in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day free or explore by yourself. Accommodation at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Heritage tour of Phnom Penh by tuk tuk (no tour guide) At Tuk Tuk, equipped with a digital tablet and headphones provided, step back in time with Phnom Penh Heritage Tour to discover the beautiful heritage of the city.
